General transfer rumours

Kai Havertz: Arsenal agree £65m deal with Chelsea for German forward

Thats now over 400 million spent alone under Artega in the last few windows with another 90 million bid on the table for Rice yet you hear nothing re their spend

How on earth have Chelsea almost got back what they paid for with Havertz?!

With the exception of his winning goal against us in the CL final a few years back, the guy has done virtually nothing.
There must be a good player there judging by all the initial hype. I think we’d have paid £65 mil for a Chumps League winning goal a few seasons ago.

Not now though!

I like Havertz and he has been played out of position at CFC, there is a real player in there, maybe Captain Scarlet will prize it out of him, though CFC nearly getting all the money they bought him for is impressive, if Arsenal had paid around 35-45m then it would be a decent gamble on a player.

Chelsea will make some nice profit on book value for the outgoing players. 100% profit on Mount for a start around 60m, Havertz fee mostly amortized already and getting a big fee for him too.
Saudi clubs will give them another large chunk of book value profit.
while the 600m they spent this season is mostly 6+ year contracts so lets say 100m cost first year. they will make a bigger book value profit on the sold ones than that cost.

at least CL money is off for them next season.

would be good to stop them from reaching top4, but if it means Pool or United gets it than I am happy for Chelsea to reach it and not those two.

also I think due to new CL format next season the top5 will all get CL group stage places for the season after that with new format.
