Last sumer they bought very well. But then: 45m for Gordon, now this nonsense Barnes-ASM. Also Tonali is a good player but non elite and they paid the double of his real value. The have lost the plot. Maybe because now Howe has more power in the market? (probably Gordon and Barnes are his signings). Serius mistake when the coach make the market (you can see Chelsea last summer market with Tuchel).

This "one of the best in the world" talk is just silly, before the CL final and rumors came out about him joining the rags he was not even considered as a top3 GK in Serie A, with Napoli, Lazio and AC Milan arguably having better GKs. But as soon as United wanted to sign him he suddenly was described as a world class player like every player the rags are signing according to the media. Good with his feet, very error prone. One decent season in Inter at age 27 certainly doesn't make you world class. Probably not an upgrade on De Gea, better with his feet, worse at saving shots.So good that he was on a free last season and rocked up at Inter.
