General transfer rumours

Source? Or did you just pluck it from your ass
It's not plucked from my ass lol. Let's see what happens over the next days. No concrete offer, but City have started talking to Leverkusen, so expect more ITKs to come out talking about Wirtz next week.

Olmo was the other name mentioned, but that's public knowledge at this point.

I hope youre right. Wirtz should have been first choice all along the guy is a super talent.

See I was wondering if it's legal to offer the 8 year for Enzo with really moderate salary to get around FFP then the club activate a clause that says they will review after 1 or 2 seasons and if we increase by 25% the contract will reduce by 2 years. In theory (and that's all it is) a top performer would double salary in 4 years and by then they'd be getting results on the pitch
I always wondered why clubs didn't sign players on 50 year contracts with wages that revert to £1 a week after the first 5 years.
They could the amortise the fee over 50 years meaning it would be minimal spend each year. Could then just write it off in the future after the player has retired when they are having a good year financially.

Figured this was likely to be the case last night with Frimpong's agent coming over - Wirtz is officially represented by his parents, and it seemed unlikely they would attend a match.

I would take both. Now. But something in my head still questions if Florian is the player we need - like Tolmie, I percieve the need to be for a specialist central player. 6,8,10.

I agree - but I think Pep believes both Foden and Alvarez can play as #10s. Foden works as an #8, and I think we’re quite covered for #6.

What I would say is the Wirtz is a player with huge potential. Could be world class if he’s coached by Pep.

w/r/t central players

Sitting here thinking if these aren't the sort of central players we might be interested in.
