I dont know I'm always apprehensive when we buy a defender from a different league because premier league is totally different especially how referees referee.

Down to the individual in my mind. Most top players in all positions in the PL are imports. Zab took time to settle, and he was brilliant .

To be fair it's at the point now when none of the bitter journalists can accuse us of buying the league with oil money because the money we use on transfers nowadays is nothing compared to what we and all premier league teams get from TV deals, etc. When you have Everton supposedly chucking $50,000,000 bids around and Sadio Mané apparently worth £34 million you know transfer fees don't matter anymore. If we want a player, we should just spend however much it takes to get it done.
