General transfer rumours

It will still happen but they are just playing this up a bit more. Because the information is released to public and it does not look good on Atleti that their star player was contacted as early as February to sort out a deal. It is only right they 'act' angry to show they do not accept this behaviour, very normal for any club to do in the situation.

It is also impossible that such a big agreement was struck and no one at Atletico knew. Plus it is no crime in having terms agreed with individual prior to bidding or paying the clause. Lot of clubs do that, even before the window opens.
Yeah but the problem here is Barça wants/wanted to not pay the clause.
When PSG wanted Neymar, they paid the clause. When City wanted Rodri, they paid the clause. Here, Atletico expressed their anger over the disrespect of Barcelona that has "screwed them over" by negociating with their biggest star and is not willing to pay the clause (initially). Prolly Barcelona wants to try to take Neymar, de Ligt, or other players and don't want to pay the lump sum for Griezmann over installments.

Saw reports Bayern are trying to take him next season on a free, and have already agreed terms.

Would make sense since there hasn't been any notable bids for him, last interest was from Liverpool.
Shame!
The german league really need to sort themselves out

United are after SMS from Lazio...again. He had a disappointing season last year but has talent

Agreed. United splashing too much money on a tank of a player, what's new?
He'd likely be Pogba's replacement since, at his best, he has similar qualities and less of a Hollywood attitude.

Atletico Madrid is angry with Barça because the latter not only discussed transfer with Griezmann during their season (and allegedly reached an agreement days before loss at Juventus Turin stadium) but also asked for a split payment method while clause is supposed to be paid in one lump sum.
Atletico has even said that if they had proofs of this agreement between Barça and Griezmann they would have asked for the previous clause of 200 M€ to be paid.
For the time being and in absence of an agreement between the clubs, they have asked Griezmann to be present for the pre season with Atletico.
Realistically, they still need the money after the Joao Felix transfer.

Good, Barça can't think of bypassing the rules just because. Maybe this will put a little disturbance in their transfer market, which is only good news for other teams.

Tottenham reportedly making progress in attempts to sign Lo Celso and Zainolo

Zaniolo? We had an eye on him but it's not like he's an absolute priority for us. Would be very interesting to see him in the Prem, he has the necessary physicality.

I wonder if erikson is going ?

I think Eriksen is only leaving if Real can't sign Pogba. He might do another season at Spurs without extending his contract and leave next year on a free for huge wages.

It appears they are stacking the midfield, but where would he go? I'd think Real would have to start selling now, before any more purchases. Barca will have the outlay of Griezmann and some for Neymar (and other purchases on top).

I remember City being linked as well, looks a good player but again, not a priority

Rags after Lamina from Southampton according to SSN - good player who we were once linked with

Haha Mario, that's a name I hadn't heard in a while. How did he do at Southampton? Going by what I know of him, he might just be right for the level United are at right now. He's never impressed me much.

just wondering what is the value of neymar or what is his buy out clause ?? somebody said its £300million hahahahaahah am not having that ????

Barcelona want him back and they sold him for £220million and PSG will want a good return on him ?? even at the age of 27 what value is there in paying all that money with a little chance of even half the price on you paid in 5 years ?? yes i know about the shirt sales and media rights would cover the cost of £300 million at Barcelona but really ?? is he that good a player and does he rip up tree's like a messi or ronaldo ??

anyway nobody in the premier league would pay that sort of money not even the manchester city owners are that daft ?? maybe if it was 10 years ago and we was looking to make a statement and put manchester city back on the map then i could see the idea BUT £300 MILLION hahahahahahah

Neymar doesn't have a buy out clause in his contract.
PSG is said to want something between the 222 M€ they paid and 300 M€.

In other news, PSG interested in that unknown player :

Sounds like a Lo Celso type of deal by PSG.

Can't understand that.

How can a big (history wise) club like Ajax be happy to pay money to buy pages in the local catalan press and to design a bus in order to advertise and celebrate the fact they have sold one of their best players to Barça ?

i know about their historical links but this seem a bit weird. Like a small club happy to see their star shine in his future bigger club.

I live in Amsterdam and go to watch Ajax when I can and like the club. But.... They're love affair with Barca is just weird and totally unreciprocated. Barca just take their best players, mind you Ajax take the best players from everyone in Holland so they can't get on their high horses about it.

Looks like PSG are resigned to selling Neymar - clearly think he will be toxic if he does get a move. In terms of fee - not sure PSG will do better than getting their money back - even that’s ridiculous. Interesting after all La Liga’s criticism of us and PSG - Real and Barca might blow a billion on new players between them this summer; hypocrisy is clearly alive and well in Spain.
