I understand your argument; we have the best manager, the best team, so it is ok. No, I don't think it ok. We made huge mistakes, especially in the cases of Mangala and Bony, we paid them huge salaries, and now we need to correct our mistake. My intention is not to criticize the past, but the fact that we have repeatedly done these types of mistakes many times, which indicate that we are not learning from our mistakes. To have a wealthy owner does not mean to be negligent in your bookkeeping and to continue to pay ridiculous wages for average players. For our business model to be successful, we need to develop appropriate methods to avoid the same in the future.Nothing went wrong. We have the best manager in the world and are now firmly a top 5 team in the World (on paper). To get to that point we have had to make decisions that seem to some to be bad decisions financially. The other perspective though...we now have a team that can win the CL. I expect the folks running this club are quite happy with how this has worked out.
