Tricky one this - shown loads of potential, but he's 23 and doesn't seem to be improving his end product (which after 2 seasons with Pep you'd expect) also picks up regular injuries.
We're in stick or twist territory. As others have said if they offered us our money back I'd be tempted to say yes.

Haaland's aren't improving either. It's almost as if the whole team is worse than it was two years ago...

Also missed the point - the team is worse, one of the reasons why is we're not getting the numbers we hoped for from the wide players we brought in.
(Using Haaland as a comparison is a little odd btw - you expecting 70+ goals every season)
I like Doku, he's exciting when it comes to beating defenders, but he isn't providing goals or assists at the end of it (unlike FFS who was criminally underrated contribution wise)

If the rest of the team were ripping up trees and just Doku was standing still, I think the argument would carry more weight. Pretty much everyone barring Gvardiol and Nunes regressed this season. The team as a whole just didn't work a lot of the time, so I'm less inclined to make such a categorical judgment on Doku on that basis

Agree with you on Mahrez, though. Could certainly do with a couple more in the squad who could be relied on upon for those kind of numbers. I do believe that a fully functioning midfield and some actual fullbacks could get Savinho and Doku more in that direction, although I doubt either will ever be quite the technician in front of goal that Riyad was

There’s not really that many great players to even buy anymore. Rodrygo might be the top 8 winger in the world, in 2014 he wouldn’t even be in the top 20. Same with strikers.
