General transfer rumours

JUST IN: Manchester United and Sporting close to agreement but Gyökeres maintains his position on Arsenal. He only wants them. Ruben Amorim's Red Devils are negotiating within the values demanded by Sporting, but United is not in the player's plans

Just a ploy to get arsenal to hurry up I reckon.

Chelsea’s valuation of Jackson is ridiculous. Between £80m - £100m.
Not worth half that.

I dont think it's that outrageous tbh. I know he's currently seen as a bit of a donkey but hes got a lot of potential and still young enough to fulfill it.

I suspect the valuation is purposefully on the high end expecting to be knocked down and they'd take a fee in the region of £60m. When you look at the calibre of player going for those kind of numbers, it's not an unfair valuation. Mbuemo just gone for £70m Ekitike going for £80m, sesko and gyokeres valued at a similar price, Jackson is in the same bracket as those players.
 
Two weeks ago Gonzalez was looking out and the club were going to cut their losses - denied a few days later

Last week O'Reilly wanted out - denied a few days later

This week Reis was going to be loaned out - now denied

Anyone noticing a trend.

It'll be Khusanov next week. There's been an obsession in the media and with rival fans in labelling all of our January signings as flops, since about February time really.

There is a massive difference in what the other players mean/meant to the clubs selling them and Jackson to Chelsea. I can't remotely see them getting anywhere around 60 or 80 million.

I would rate him as the 2nd best striker Sweden has had only behind the guy they refer to as God in Glasgow.

Rags we want Mbuerno so here is 50 million. Brentford, nope 65 million. Rags then spend 6 weeks negotiating before agreeing a 71 million deal.
Those 6 weeks probably spent writing the usual script for him, boyhood fan etc etc
