General transfer rumours

Joao Felix has departed Chelsea and signed a permanent deal with Al-Nassr.We thank Joao for his efforts across his two spells at the club and wish him well for the future.

Newcastle have agreed a deal to sign Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer; the 27-year-old has been given permission to travel for a medical, which will take place on Wednesday

There's a list of ageing players (Gundog, Stones etc) & players who evidently have no future at the Ethad (McAtee, Grealish etc) who we need to jettison. Any incomings now rely on those players being culled.

The issue is that when push comes to shove, Pep will fall back on his tried & tested treble winners. We should've started our succession planning in the immediate aftermath of that incredible feat.

However, we spent the next two summer & winter windows tinkering around the edges, as Guardiola continued to put his faith in his treble squad having enough to go again, when the signs were clearly there that our squad needed to evolve.

All it took was for Rodri's body to break & the wheels fell off our season. Stones, Gundog & others have stated it's their intention to remain at the Etihad this coming season. The question is, in whose best long-term interest is that in?

At some point we have to trust & put our efforts into blooding Gonzalez, O'Reilly, Lewis, Reis, Khusanov, Bobb, Echeverri etc. My fear is that Pep will patch up & send out Gundog, Kovacic & Stones etc, at the expense of looking to our future with those younger players at best being on the bench, not even making the matchday squad, or being sent out on loan.

This is the reason our squad is bloated. We've bought the majority of the future, but still have the past blocking their paths to the first team squad.

Can you make sense of why we've bought all these players, & still haven't moved on the players they were presumably brought in to replace? I can't...

We have allowed it to happen

Yeah, it wouldn't make sense to spend the beginning of the window fucking about negotiating with Galatasaray and Roma to get rid of the old lads, and the end of it flailing around trying to build a brand new squad after all your targets had already been bought by other clubs.

Sesko rejected Newcastle and prefers a move to United. A delegation of United is currently in Germany.

Newcastle will bid 40M for Muniz. What a horrible transfer window this has been for the barcodes. The downgrade is imminent.
Is the bubonic plague rampant on Tyneside?
Everyone is avoiding the place.

Feel sorry for newcastle tbh minted and not allowed spend it. This PSR is shambolic and only suceeds in keeping the status quo at the top.
As ridiculous as this sounds, real life is emulating Football Manager. Newcastle makes an approach for a player I'm trying to sell and the players all refuse to go there. They get extremely indignant when I tell them it's a good move. The developers predict the future or something.

PSR stops new money coming into the game especially from owner who want to build a team. They only onsets the will come in are the type who’s only interest is to mill the club of hounds and assets

The problem Newcastle have with trying to keep Isak is usually if the player couldn't get the move he wants, he will get a pay day to keep him happy

Newcastle cannot even do that. Not to the level Isak will be demanding.

I think he ends up going to Liverpool as I think he will make it clear to Newcastle he ain't happy and his head isn't at the club at all.

If Newcastle end up with somebody like Watkins to replace him. Good grief. They could be in for a tough season.

The whole team will be deflated after this summer window and some players like Livramento and Guimareas and Gordon will be looking at future moves if not all goes well next season.

Girona are doing weird moves sometime

last year van de Beek and now Thomas Lemar

Solis and Asprilla are great signings imho

Chelsea closing in on Hato. If the hype around him is genuine. They've got a beast and a major puzzle for them to compete for the title.

Wow, Sesko must be dumb beyond words if he wants United. It is like these players blindly refuse to see what happens if you join them.
I seriously think players like him know they will end up nowhere if they join a club not named United or city or whatever. If sesko knew he was the real deal he would join Newcastle and make a name in the PL for himself. Playing for United is easier. They will hype him up if he reaches 15 goals since his opponent is called HOJLUND probably the worst striker in the PL.
