General transfer rumours

Don't shoot the messenger

West Ham seem to prefer Juventus forward Simone Zaza to City's Wilfried Bony and will make their first offer in the next hours. [@DiMarzio]

Napoli also trying to sign Torino CB Maksimovic, which puts doubts over Mangala's rumoured loan deal. Looks like Bony/Mangala are struggling to find new homes! A week to go, hopefully we see some movement soon.

#Napoli are reportedly still working to sign Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic. http://www.football-italia.net/90307/napoli-continue-maksimovic-talks… #CFC

Hart is understood to be devastated by events, especially as he believes he has not been given a chance by Guardiola. [Telegraph]

With just under three years left on his contract, he has had no desire to leave City but knows that, having been informed of his position, it is best that he leaves. [Telegraph]

Got to love the way the press use the words "is understood to be".

When it comes to City, the press love to write anything negative. If we do move any of the unwanted squad over the next week, expect lots of reports in the press, twisting words and trying to make us look bad. As for Hart? "devastated"? I think it more likely that he's angry! There is a few players in this squad that have grown very comfortable over the years, expecting their names to be first on the team sheet every Saturday. Hopefully with Nasri, Bony, Hart, even Yaya on the bench for the start of the season, this is the long overdue wake up call for the whole squad. It's Pep's way or the high way!;)

I'm pretty sure that's bollocks. Pellegrini had loads of the kids in training - Angelino, Tosin, Horsfield, Manu, Celina, Glendon, Gunn, Bryan and Barker were all regularly photographed in first team training last season.

It would be good to see 5 in in the squad for Steaua though, even better to see 5 play.

Shhhhhhh! Don't feed this discussion. Let folks lie to themselves to feel better. It's s pastime around these parts.

I guess anyone at the game tonight will be able to confirm, if its true, that Hart's picture has been removed.

Man City have updated the pictures displayed outside the Etihad. Joe Hart has vanished.

Tonight shows exactly why Joe HAS to go...
Media obsession with joes unfair treatment & fans chanting, mourinho been successful because he spends money & then turns everyone at a club together behind him (even when he's wrong & out of order)
Joes been unfairly treated because he didn't get told 2 months earlier to find a club...
Not working on his footwork, passing & left hand saves for the last two years...who's faults that?

Joe's done things the Pep way this match of course some will still find a way to pick at it some how.

Well seeing he`s not been under any pressure whatsoever its rather difficult to judge don`t you think.
Excuses! ;) After Arsenal game a whole lot was made of very little game time and not that much of the ball in reality, he's been playing out from the back switching feet this game... no other way to put it, credit where it's due. Not that it will make a difference to him going on loan or being sold more to dispel the many assumptions that were made after 45mins in the Arsenal game.
