Wow what a finish. I think Leon beat himself in his brain and it took some brilliant work from his corner to get him out of it. The mad thing is he had the most success i think anyone has ever had against Usman in that first round. We have never seen Usman on his back, ever, and the way Leon did it was so, so slick. But he should have built on that, Usman did what a champion does and what he has done in the past when he's been in a bit of trouble and went on the front foot, but like the cornerman said Leon kind of allowed himself to get bullied. When he shot for the double in the 3rd(?) you could tell he was going against the plan. I think Leon is much better than even he believes, but Usman has an ability to put people on the back foot with his forward and sidewards pressure.
Leon making a few adjustments to control situations in the clinch like he did in the first round, and also the way he hit the teep to the knee (illegal in Muay Thai, incidently) was beautiful and he needs to continue with that to stop forward pressure. He also gave up too much to Usman moving sideways and cornering him, that's where Usman does his most damage and enters into the clinch. I saw a lot of positives from that fight, i'm sure Usman is going back thinking if he had just kept doing what he was doing he'd be ok but Leon just needs to make adjustments and he can do it again. Great fight.
