General UFC thread

Love your msg.
Give thanks Bigga.

Thought it were a good time to remind folk in both fight threads about some of the positive benefits that can be had n enjoyed by anybody willing n able to put a foot forward.

Not long walked through me door after yet another evening of drills n sparring, keeping the 8 limbs busy as.

Which one are you currently doing or did?

I did a fair bit of kickboxing and a small bit of Wing Chun. I found it levelled me out as I worked the club doors at the time. In 8 years of doing that job, was only ever forced to use elements of those techniques twice.

As a rule, it does keep you in check, knowing what you can do. I really enjoyed that discipline of training and control.

Nice one.

First time i ever boxed in a gym ring i got me nose broken, 11 years old at the time jus starting high school, didn't tell my Pops at the time as i feared he'd look for another body part to break lol, he soon figured it out having boxed himself.

Never went anywhere near putting on a glove in the 80s, way too much distractions n fun to be had elsewhere.

Early 90s tried again but never felt comfortable lacking mass, mid 90's switched to Kickboxing which opened up so many capabilities within the mind which in turn held me in good stead opening up even more physical capabilities n endurances once taking up the Muay Thai in later years.

Very content continuing to ride the Muay train, every single session is a lesson n expression.

Totally agree with you in regards the discipline, training n control instilled along with humility once all combined n utilized correctly.

...train hard, fight easy.

Here we go looking forward to this Whittaker fight, want Vetorri to get sparked.

Fucking size of em 6ft brick shithouses.

UFC 276 news!

Chimaev misses weight by 8 pounds!! In order to save the card, Kevin Holland has agreed to fight him and Nate Diaz gets Tony Ferguson instead!

I think it's a better match up and I think Holland has got a GREAT chance against Chimaev although clearly the underdog now.
