General UFC thread

Just a reminder that UFC: 171 is tonight. It's a good one. The entire card is one to watch/record.

If you have FightPass the first match starts 11pm in UK.

Then the televised prelims are on BT Sports 1 at midnight.

The main card starts at 2am.

Fell asleep before the main event last night. Anyone know where I can watch the full fight online?

Might be available to download from some torrent sites. I'm waiting for it to be come up on fightpass.

*SPOILERS*

Really wanted to see Lawler win last night. A great fighter who has been around the block and always brings the fight. Hendricks, despite some of his wins and spectacular knockouts (Fitch/Kampman) just hasn't grown on me at all. I think that's more to do with Marc Laimon being on his coaching staff. Really don't like the guy.

Be interesting to see who they line up for Hendricks first defence.

Overall though a good event.

Man, you don't know how p*ssed I was for Lawler! I have watched him 'grow up' from his first entry into the UFC! Thought he'd retired, to find out 2 and a half years ago, he was active in the former 'Strikeforce' organisation as I thought he was just a corner man before that.

Watching him evolve, learn from his losses and look like he wanted to fight again was awesome.

Up until 2 mins to go, he had that fight in the bag! Don't know why he didn't throw any head kicks, cos he's great at them. That and his stamina needs working on for the next time.

Gutted.

Put a good write up in under the spoiler.

**Spoilers**

I enjoyed it. It was a good card despite some of the officiating. C.B. Dollaway rolling the shoulder like Mayweather was awesome. Stormin Norman was unlucky with the draw, thought he won the fight despite the dodgy point deduction. I really don't know how Malonado's opponent stayed on his feet as long as he did. Hendo did what Hendo does...unleashed one bad motherfucker of a right. Shoguns nose did look pretty bad, reminded me of what Bongo Drums Thiago Silva did to Vera.

The Brazilian crowd were the usual bunch of classless backwards mard arses. Other than that screeching woman the deafening silence when Shogun and Ferreira were dropped was delicious.

Coming up in April.

April 11th - Fight Night in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Nelson v Nogueira.

April 17th - TUF Nations Finale. Manchester's own Bisbing v Kennedy.

April 19th - Fight Night in Orlando, Florida. Verdum v Brown.

April 27th: UFC 172 Light Heavyweight Champ Jones v Texeira.
