General Videogame Thread

My Mrs has just bought me a PS4. What's the best games? I've heard Uncharted 4 is unreal?
Fallout 4
Heavy Rain
Far Cry 4
Tomb Raider Definitive
GTA5
Skyrim Remastered
The Witcher 3

Don't really play COD/Battlefield games but the new ones are getting good reviews.

PS4 question. Getting my 2 boys a PS4 for christmas. Do i need to pay for 2 PSN+ accounts? They play FIFA /COD where they have their own team / soldiers and like to play online as their own team/soldier and keep their stats seperate.

Had Xbox360 family pack so it gave them each a user account and online name.

Its only New Vegas that is similar to Skyrim. I was obsessed with Skyrim but couldn't get my head around Fallout 4. After how non linear Skyrim was, Fallout 4 felt way too bunched together.
Fallout 4 is anything but linear, especially compared to NV.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one! I get the whole customisation thing, for me nothing compared to getting out of the tutorial quest in Skyrim, turning off the compass, and just heading off in any direction to anywhere. I had over 120 hours playing Skyrim on my PS3 and wholly intend to get hold of the remaster on PS4 as soon as I can afford it!

You can do exactly the same thing on Fallout 4 though :) New Vegas was the one where you could only walk around the map in a certain direction for the first 70% of the game.

Remastered Skyrim is well worth it, the graphics are amazing, the gameplay is a lot smoother and I haven't seen any glitches yet where the original was riddled with them.

What console do you have it on mate? I was eyeing up the PS4 mods on the Bethesda website before.....really happy to see they branched out on the Imperials v Stormcloaks story (I always side with Stormcloaks, love rebels even though they are a bit "Nord supremacy")....couldn't see a cape/cloak mod though, which might sound petty but thats the one I wanted!

PS4, haven't gotten too far into it, won't for a while now because of FF15 but the engine, graphics and gameplay are a couple of notches above.

Anyone who played ff15 yet? Is it any good? Looking at some of the game play it looks alright.

I bought it on Friday and had a go for a few hours last night. Still early to tell but i've played worse games! Personal highlights include being able to play music from past games when you're in the car, and the general feeling of exploration is there, though i'm led to believe the game becomes more linear later on. My opinion is that its a test run for how the new FF7 will play/feel.

It's top notch without feeling like a FF game :) Bit weird for me tbh, always been a huge fan of the series and a lot of key FF areas have been given a back seat in this one.
If you're going to buy it get a hard copy instead of the download, the download has a few glitches, been arguing a fair bit with Square this weekend.
