The Witcher series is coming out in ultimate all singing and dancing editions, 60GB a pop. How fucking big are these games, why the filesize, any gamers give us an idea cheers.
Think it's down to screen resolution, textures, sound qualities and the fact files aren't been as compressed as they use to be, I think the less files compressed the quicker it takes to load without straining the CPU which allows for faster frame rates and other jargon.
Games are especially large on the PC due to developers wanting people with slower PC's compared to the high end market to be able to play said games.
I'm waiting for the first ever 100GB game, it can't be long around the corner now.

COD 4 remastered multiplayer looks amazing...! Is the only way to obtain this game by purchasing infinate warfare deluxe or will COD 4 be available as a standalone?
