General Videogame Thread

Is anybody else loving Battlefield 1? For me it's an instant classic, I don't recall an historic online multiplayer game since Medal of Honour Allied Assualt in terms of map design. CoD World at War was awesome but I don't think the maps were that great. The classes are well balanced and offer a good variety apart from the support class which nobody seems to be using despite them making a few fixes in the recent patch. My only negative criticism is not being able to add attachments to any of the weapons. In recent BF games, you were able to add different scopes etc as you built up xp. With weapon classes are some what limited.

To fast for me not realistic enough best fps for me is insurgency on pc absolut classic

I haven't even played BF1 and it's a valid criticism but if it was realistic you'd be stuck in a trench for days on end with trench foot... hardly enjoyable!

Have you ever played the Skate series? It's very similar to those games (a good thing imo), just on a grander scale and set in the snow.
 
Well I'm still hooked on Warcraft, this is probably the worse expansions for pvp, completely unbalanced, now just doing pve content and running mythic pluses, I wonder how many more subs it has lost, they refuse to give the details these days

Can't imagine it being a lot, plus there's very few decent MMOs out there! Also they get a massive follow from China...

Well China saved the film from being a flop so maybe they are holding the game together, you are right apart from Wow maybe only Swtor is worth playing MMO-wise, others are pretty poor.

Ye GW2 has a following it just didn't grab me, there so much to do in wow now, I think you could play for years and never get all the achievements, I find it quite therapeutic just bumbling along doing my own thing, got legion coming at the end of week, looking forward to it.

If Pve is your thing then you will love Legion but as I said pvp is in a state, most ally players went back playing horde as soon as they nerfed the human racial "Everyman for himself" arena participation is at an all time low because as it stands melee kills everything, Monks,Paladins and Frost Dks are just doing stupid amounts whilst at the same time most of the talents have been pruned, it's now a dps race rather than tactics etc, Mythic high end raiding is good fun but can be unforgiving, I play a Disc Priest so trying to keep twats up who stand in shit is a good challenge, it's also more of a grind fest than it has ever been before with the need to farm artefact power for your weapon

I play FFXIV: Realm Reborn, but I'm a massive FF fan so I think its one of them that wouldn't really appeal to people unless they were invested/clued up on the FF universe.
 
Anyone played dishonored 2 yet? Played first on pc few years ago and loved it.

Was thinking of buying both for xbox one
 
Started playing Destiny again as I the game and all dlc for £25. Not played it for about 18 months and now its a much better game. Lots of stuff to and the combat and controls are up there with the best shooters.

Also if I fancy just chilling out with a game im playing Astroneer which for a pre-alpha game is absolutely brilliant. Think minecraft in space and you get the idea
