General Videogame Thread

Having not bothered about Bloodborne when I first played it, I am seriously getting addicted to it now. I just beat the Cleric Beast and Father Gascoigne bosses and I screamed like I scored an injury-time winner in a CL final. Amazing game tbh. Thanks @waspish for telling me to keep playing.
Just wait till the Hunters Nightmare dlc. Personally my favourite part of the game.
I especially find the lore fascinating and I am alway watching lore/theory videos.

Hoping that the PS5 remake rumours are true and possibly a squeal from Bluepoint.

Never really got into the online game. It’s the 10 year anniversary edition of Skyrim so no doubt just the exact same game rehashed. That being said, I’m all for another blast on it.

Yeah I’ve cleared it 4 times so might give it another run out when’s it out?

Yep the hardest bosses I’ve ever defeated was in the dlc head banging hard

The last boss (don't want to spoil it) wasn't the hardest for me but a certain flaming one gave me the most difficultly.

The dlc for me has the best boss fights, enemies and music. IMO the greatest dlc FromSoftware let alone any game.

I always like it when newcomers start this amazing game and get hooked.

Yeah I had the early frustration and nearly binning the game demon souls there was no other game like it before but at the time to me what I paid for it was a lot of money so I went through hours of play before the lightbulb went of and that then turn to addiction of similar games darks souls 1, 2 and 3 darks souls 2 remember clearing it for the 7th time and new thing popped up to buy then I cleared it without using a bonfire then clearing it only level one!

Thats what these kinds of games do to you :)

Started off playing the game normally and then going on challenge runs. Right now I am in the middle of a BL4 run and it makes me play the game so differently to how I normally play.

Gave up on Bloodborne. Amazing game but just far too hard. And when you die the restart point is miles back. I couldn't even get out of the cobbled street/sewer bit (massive rats). Tried tried and tried but binned it! Even tried cheating by looking at walk-through guides on you tube. Was still useless lol.

How long you been playing it? There is short cuts to open as well?! I was stuck in that part for probably two weeks around 30/40 hours of play! The trick I did was and repetitive was keep killing and going back to level up till it makes it easier also use stone just to bring 1 or two enemy to you!

Has anyone tried Riders Republic? Reason I ask is because I tried the beta on PS5 but it seemed the framerate was at 30fps, so visually I didn't find it appealing. However, i'm looking at some youtube videos and they seem to state it's running at 60fps. Which leaves me wondering if I downloaded the wrong version or have they made changes since the beta version?

Went back to the Newcastle save on FM22 out of curiosity, to see what I could do with them. About 9 games in and 2nd in the league (behind city!) and beat united despite having a centre back sent off early.

But the vultures are circling. Real and Liverpool want St Maxim, brought in forwards Rafinha from Leeds and Barbosa from some club in Brazil, Real want them both already.

And most annoyingly of all, got Kondogbia to sign on the promise that we'd strengthen midfield. Despite then singing Bennacer, Tolisso, Thiago Almada and Argentina international Palacios, he slapped in a transfer request the day after the transfer window slammed shut.

Ran out of money by the time I got to defence though. Lascalles and Manquillo as regulars means it's a policy of outscoring or losing!

Looks like it for now.

Was watching someone play it last night, looked like an interactive Time Team episode, interested to try it once this 3mb/sec download finsihes in 2022

Downloaded it and I cant play it, the game is not detecting my graphics card (GTX 1080) and is using the integrated Vega 8 card so the resolution is 720p cant find anyway to change the graphics card in the settings

Steam sale until 1st November. Worth checking your wishlists to see if anything is reduced. There’s quite a few cheaper games on mine that are in the £10-15 range and are anywhere from 50% to 90% off. I’m getting 7 games for 13 quid!
