General Videogame Thread

Is that actually enjoyable?

In its own way yes, it is just a farming simulator, like some would say what do you get out of a City building simulator.

Like I said it is good for a couple of hours, not going to lie that if you played all day it would be very repetitive as you just do the same stuff over and over again tbh

The biggest tip to get the max fun possible asap, is to sell everything you own bar a tractor and trailer as you need them to transport the crops you already have to the shop to sell, when that is done sell those as well.

Buy a wind turbine or 2 or as many as you can afford, stick them in the hills away from fields and put the game on x120 speed and fuck off for the day, occasionally log on and add more turbines etc.

When you come back you will have 100m in the bank and you can move straight onto buying all the good tractors and other toys and fields, saves pissing about with 1970's shit and 1 field for 20 years :)

Thank me later.

I think I'm finally nearing the end of Fallout 4. I'm deliberately holding off finishing the main quest until I've done most of the side quests, but to be fair, I've put a ridiculous amount of time into it so far.
It took me a lot of saving in different save slots and reloading to finish all quests for the three factions. There was no way i was replaying the whole game three times.

I have put in a load of time into this game but I am absolutely nowhere near finishing the missions, I have the main one paused on entering the institute and I have done a few to completion here and there, got the DLC and have just started being a Raider lol

But I spend all my time base building, which I guess is pretty sad but fuck it I like doing it, when you first get to build them you don't have the best of materials but then with the DLC and other things have appeared and I have systematically been ripping them all down and rebuilding them all over again.

I just downloaded a couple of mods the other week, I had never bothered when they first appeared but got sick of doing that weapon dropping cheat to build bigger bases, so got the unlimited base mod and the wonderful no electricity wire mod, the wires have always done my head in lol
Could not be bothered with the base building, just felt frivolous. I like collecting trophys and I got to 98% in this one. The one I didnt get involved bloody base building.

I never look at the trophies tbh I see the alert when you get one but now I have put a mod on it said trophies are disabled now, ah well.

Oh, can you not play them all through off the one save without them clashing?

No, you can play them off each other and piss each other off up to a certain point, then you have to pick a side to finish the game off with. Make sure to make another save at this point, because theres no turning back. Check online to see which mission is the point of no return for each faction.

Thank you, I will be sure to remember this time next year when my bases are all finished lol

Yea same as Skyrim.

I had Skyrim on PS3 and was about 70% through all the missions and then bought a PS4 and the wife bought my it again but I couldn't be arsed going through the missions again tbh and have lent it to a workmate last week.

Didn't realise you could mod that as well but obviously the same company and pretty much the same game engine running them as well, so it is no surprise really.

Anyone put any time into Monster Hunter World? I bought it on sale as I've always heard it's a gigantic, grindy time sink and that's usually my jam tbh, but as with most of these things, it's a little overwhelming at first when you try and figure things out.

Is it worth sticking it out and fighting my way through confusion to eventually understand what the fuck I am supposed to be doing?
