I think the teck is begging to top out. Gaming PCs from a few years back were able to do far more than the next generation of consoles will. But PC gaming is a bit like an arms race with massive processing power that you need a big expensive monitour to get the best out of. So top end gaming is really for the PC user with a massive budget, the average gamer is well behind - but when you think the biggest games are pretty low teck (Fortnight / minecraft etc) and can be run on pretty basic systems I'm not sure the demand is there to catch up.

Couldn't agree more, most games on PC will let you use relatively low spec hardware at 1080p and get a very good experience from it. I know people who need/want the very best graphics cards and cpu combos (Plus overclock the snot out of them) for an extra 10FPS in a given game.

Nvidia are launching their new graphics cards later this month and high spec gamers are trying to offload their top of the market GPU's because the resale value of their cards are plummeting due to the retail price of the new series of GPU's and the hike in performance.

All of my children and grandchildren are console gamers, it's more than likely the ease of use just bang a disk in and play it and there is nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

It's not all about resolution. The a biggest jump will be in cpu and storage performance of the new consoles. I'd rather play Pubg at 1080p 60fps than 4k 30fps on the Xbox One X.

You'll see the difference in visuals between current gen and next gen right away in a game like Cyberpunk 2077 outside of resolution.

So I'm about 6 hours in and so far I'm absolutely loving it. I'm not a big Avengers fan and think I've only ever watched Hulk but it's great how the story let's you control all players, so far I've used 3. The storyline seems great so far also and seems there's going to be quiet a lot to do regarding side quests and levelling up all characters.

So far so good :)

Should be getting a copy of the game this week for lower than RRP.

Spiderman characters not available yet if i remember rightly?
