Absolutely insane pricing. Was expecting closer to £600 for the X. Happy days

Its the availability of games that has given the PS4 the edge over the xbox 1. This seems like a big counter punch by going early and cheaper than PS5. PS5 expected to be £600 or close to.

But I still think once the dust settles it will be the games that dictate the most popular system. As of right now there are not many games that you need this for over an xbox 1.

Given there is a zen 2 AMD in there and and a top end AMD GPU to throw those FPS out at 4k ist an incredible price to be fair.

Wont beat my PC mind but then it costs a lot less and those wanting PC quality graphics and this really delivers, its a no brainer.

I'm tempted, moving soon and it might not be practical to move the PC for a while, can't argue at that price at all. Doubt I'd use it nearly as much as a PC but nice to have in case.

I have a mid range pc and mostly play startegy games on it like CK3 flight sim FM ect and was thinking of upgrading.

I also have an Xbox one X for AAA games and I have game pass ultimate but looking at those prices I think it's cheaper for me to get a series x for that price plus I'll get it £60 cheaper because of where I work than upgrading my pc

I will also get i think just for easy of use in the front room as my flightsim habit and all that goes with it meant i'm now banished to a spare room on the pc.

Ha, I had a look at Fseconomy and there's more time gone. Did you get a new stick in the end?

I picked up a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and Throttle of Ebay second hand for £300 and added a set of Thrustmaster T-Flight rudder peddles.

Its complete overkill for x-plane and MSFS 2020 but i got it for DCS and the A-10C module which i am very slowly but surely trying to master. The manual is nearly 700 pages long as literally every single system on the real aircraft/avionics/radios/weapons is replicated and the Warthog HOTAS is a replica of the controls in the aircraft so its makes almost impossible keyboard commands so much simpler. I have to admit though learning the aircraft is brutal and im talking hours upon hours and that's before you try your hand in a mission.

With that in mind and being a bloke i bought the FA-18 module, exactly the same and still in development so i think by the time im 70 i might have them both mastered......kind of ;-)

Did i mention i can get a replica FA-18 stick for the Warthog?

shhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell the wife....its another £200!

I'm really tempted by that price for the Xbox, but the exclusives that PS have is the killer. Microsoft just can't compete with that IMO.

Sony will price it where they think it will be competitive, I cant see it being much more that the X if not the same price.

Both Sony and MS always lose money on hardware and make it back on sub's / games, its there standard business model.

I'd love to get into DCS, just don't have the time. Happy level bombing in Il-2 for now, thankfully MP rounds last a few hours. Plus headtracking doesn't suit at all after a while trying, I move around too much. There's a new app for phones that might work better for me than the delan but that's for the weekend to try.
