Almost as bad as that "leave Britney alone" guy! I've said zelda games aren't shit but nowhere near perfect and someone has a stroke over it...

No skin off my nose though if someone wants to piss hundreds of money away for a mediocre console that'll produce 2 very good games! Theyve already gotten one of them in Zelda it seems, so now it's a matter of time to wait for the next very good game, before the wave of absolute shite is bestowed upon them!

I saw your post that way too to be honest, I wasn't meaning to wind anyone up either I was just saying people should be allowed to say if they don't like Zelda or famous Nintendo games in general without someone having a melt down about it, it's no wonder the journos are scared of saying differently... letter bombs and all sorts spring to mind haha.

Anyway I'm going to blast some Horizon Zero Dawn on a proper console, and not a plug-in tablet ;-)

Absolute rubbish, the gamecube had about a dozen good games, and that was one of Nintendos shortest lived consoles.

There's a hell of a lot of snobs in the playstation & xbox gaming community, if a game isn't in 1080p or 4K it's not a proper game, I prefer gameplay over graphics and no one does gameplay better than Nintendo.

This is what is stopping me from buying the switch at the moment. Goldeneye, Mario64 and Orcana of Time were brilliant on the N64 but little else from memory. Having said that if a game gives me the same enjoyment that I had from Goldeneye at that time then when the price comes down I will probably buy a switch.

I wholeheartedly agree about gameplay and design over graphics. However, 12 worthwhile games over the life of a console, however short lived is very poor.
 
eh, buy one and sell it on. as long as you do it before the first price drop, you'll not lose much, consoles are a piece of piss to sell..

Unfortunately the norm nowadays irrespective of which console you own.

Nintendo has some excellent and unique games, it always does. But by making inferior consoles they've missed out on all the games that are released multi-platform on pc/xbox/PS. As far as exclusives go, they are right up there, but that is all they have. That's not being a snob, that's just a fact. A decent option as a second console to pick up the unique exclusives if you have the money to burn, but I'd never have one as my primary console as you'd miss out on far too many games
 
Thing that puts me off of Nintendo is the lack of variation in their games, it's all cartoonish and child friendly, do they even have a single game(exclusive) with an 18 certificate? aha.
