Going to build a PC for my lad eventually so he will get all my old bits!

You do right buddy. I’m still rocking the 4090 I bought when they were released, didn’t go to to 5090 as the game I play (iRacing) doesn’t have DLSS so there was no mega upgrade. I’m hoping the 6090, when it comes out has more natural power rather than relying on AI for DLSS as it leaves out titles that don’t have it.

Every Microsoft first party exclusive is going multiplatform from now. Next is Halo on the PS5 next year.

Made the switch from Xbox to PlayStation last month due to the subscription fiasco and don't regret it one bit.

Rumours are the next Xbox will basically be a PC and it's likely to be excess $1000. Can see Microsoft doing a Sega and stopping making consoles and just being a 3rd party publisher

PS6 has been pretty much confirmed for late 2027/early 2028 which falls in line with the 7 year cycle of game console generations

Looks like manufacturing isn't slated until mid 2027 so you'd be lucky if it's launched for Xmas '27, more likely '28 sometime.

Its quite interesting how Open Sony are becoming about these things. Granted not the release dates but the video the other week from Mark Cerny and Jack Huynh was pretty early in the cycle. for PS5 the equivalent 'reveal' was about 18 months before PS5 launch.

Back in the day this stuff was kept very close to the chest until the last minute.

Take it your getting Gran Turismo 7 as well as that'll work flawlessly with your SIM racing rig. It's also supposed to be amazing on the PSVR2 headset

If the PS5 is anything to go by, they will be almost impossible to get hold of as well for the first 12 months. Hopefully that wont be the same with the PS6, but i wont hold my breath.

I thought the releases/planned releases for the first 6 months were very good. Not many new consoles have a first party line up like this just 6 months after launch.

Kirby Air Riders
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Next gen updated Switch 1 games include:

Breath of the Wild
Tears of the Kingdom
Link's Awakening
Echoes of Wisdom
Splatoon 3
Super Mario Galaxy
Kirby and the Forgotten Land

There are some brilliant third party games as well but admittedly they have been out longer on other consoles.

No mate I’ll be sticking to iRacing on the pc for my sim racing. None of my kit will work with a PS5 anyway.

Probably to counter the Xbox/PC hybrid 'threat' that has unknown consumer potential at the moment. Getting in an early reminder to people that the normal traditional console is only a few years away.

Think Microsoft have fucked up big time with this new hybrid, I wonder if it will ever come out or they’ll just end up producing software for pc and PlayStation. They’ve pissed off theor user base with the increase in cost of Gamepass big time and lots have jumped ship, now with the Xbox exclusives going to PlayStation Halo etc there’s zero nee for an Xbox. I went Xbox this time for Gamepass and I’ve had a good run with it since release, although not played that many games, wouldn’t go Xbox again though probably ps6 or just stick to a pc.
