General Videogame Thread

A full play through of the unreleased remaster of Goldeneye 007 for the Xbox 360 has appeared online.

Too many fingers in the legal pie stopped it being released since Rare went from being part owned by Nintendo to being wholly owned by Microsoft and the Bond licence was then with Activision as well.

A reimagining of Goldeneye from a completely different developer with nothing to do with the original was released on the Wii/PS3/360.

Oh I would love this and I still have a Xbox 360 and I can get online with it, is this easy to get?

Is it free?

makes me want to fire up my n64

Whilst rooting round an old hard drive I found my old championship manager 01-02 saves. The game itself is free to download legally now, btw.

It's the version with the famous To Madeira and Maxim Tsigalko, and city start with the likes of Charvet, Ritchie and Nash.

I'd saved last pre season 05 with us having won the lot. Funny how we used to have to just dream of that kind of thing! I'd just signed Stevie G and Mido on Bosmans, had a front 3 of anelka, Luca Toni and Defoe, backed up by Aimar and playing a short passing game. Doing it before Pep ;)

That's my week sorted anyway. You can keep your £30 FM 21 database update!

Got PS now last week as I need a new game to play through (I've got a nice backlog of classics that I haven't touched).

Got Hitman 2 which is absolutely cracking fun, only to find it's been taken down today. I was only on the 3rd mission with plenty of play throughs to go...

Anyway, anyone know how long games stay up? There's a few I like the look of but I'm a bit reluctant to start anything that might take a while in case it disappears on me!

Apparently it can be 3-6 months, although some have expiration dates listed on them. Does PS Now have a companion phone app, might be something similar to the Xbox game pass version that sends notifications about titles leaving soon.

I got Hitman 3 day after release and blitzed it a bit, but there is still loads of content in the levels left to explore. Seen a video of split banana skin traps being used to cause accident death, found a sniper spot team in one level that you can trick into killing a target. I like the fact that some of the levels build on the heritage of locations in Hitman contacts, the China level, the English country estate, and the huge Vineyard taking some inspiration from blood money.

Anybody who has the Hitman HD pack (Silent assassin, Contacts and blood money) on 360 can play it through backwards compatibility on xbox one or series consoles.
