Interesting, I tried out Stadia and it was ok. But it was not even up to the GEforce Now, which is a much more evolved experience with more games when it comes to cloud. They're not really a direct comparison as you can play PC games using Nvidia's platform, but if MS have a stable service i think this could be a real change in gaming. Nvidia deliver ray tracing at 1080p (upscale to 4k on the newer versions of Shield i think) so it will be interesting to see how the Xbox service compares. I don't have an Xbox controller or i'd give it a go.Looks like the final nail in the coffin for Google Stadia was hammered in by Microsoft today.
Game pass ultimate games is now available to stream on iOS, Android and Windows 10 devices.
Anyone with a game pass subscription can stream and I've just been messing around on it with my pc and it runs absolutely flawlessly.
You'll need at least 25mb internet speed and they steam off Xbox series X servers so if you have a 4K monitor you'll get 4k. I've got a 1440p monitor and it looks great. Loading times for the games is around 10 seconds and any saved games you have on your console will automatically be available for streaming. It's very impressive.
This means even if you don't have an Xbox console you can subscribe to game pass and play the games. Almost every game on game pass is available to play. You just need an Xbox controller

Nvidia use their own cloud and obviously have a lot of experience with graphic processors, but MS are well developed in cloud computing as you say. IIRC you can download the GEForce Now app on Android tv's (maybe even LG's service) and connect your controller and go. I have played it on my tablet, and also my phone but it's a bit of a shit experience with a small screen of course. Nvidia were in Beta for a couple years at least, i'm a founding member so have seen it evolve (actually devolve a little as MS and Sony forced developers to leave Nvidia's service) and it's been overally pretty stable. I think MS might take it to the next level, pretty excited to see how it develops.Technically ray tracing is possible streaming as its uses the xbox series X servers and Azure cloud so there is a lot of power behind it. Microsoft are looking next though as it being an app on Tv's so you don't even need a console just a decent internet speed and a controller. You can pick up a decent(non-Offical) Xbox controller for about a tenner and first 3 months subscription is £1 so there's nothing to lose really. Every single xbox exclusive game is on there plus all Bethesda games
EDIT
Just found out games are currently running 60FPS @ 1080P. As technically its still in beta. 4k ray tracing etc won't be available until the end of the year ad Microsoft want to make sure the service is stable first
Anyone fancy setting up a MW regiment?
Good chance that I'd have snuffed it before this gets released.
Star Wars jedi: Fallen Order is on offer on PS at the moment for about £13 with a free PS5 version upgrade, quite tempted by it. Anyone played it?
Have you played the PS5 version? Interested to know what the upgrade is likeyes it's very good, although i gave up playing it after a while due to not being able to complete a mission (had a wobble over it)
Might pick it up again now for my digital PS5
