General Videogame Thread

Elden ring played it for a couple of hours and couldn’t even get a level up I was that pathetic!

Only killer two main bosses too.

Been playing about 10 hours of Elden Ring the creators of this game owe me a new controller I've broken the LB button...lol. Some of these bosses are a joke! And this is coming from someone who has played and beat Bloodborne and DS3 numerous times

Some crackers in there. Ynglet, Superhot, Inmost, Kingdom Two Crowns, Celeste, all amongst my faves of the last few years.

Draconic tree sentinel is my most hated, I cheesed it by quitting when behind it and constantly casting poison, took ages but did the job haha

Go West from the church with the anvil, head to the right of the cave, you will see a bunch of enemies and a bonife(grace). Rest there and you will meet an NPC who will allow you to level up thereafter!

FINALLY managed to beat Margit this morning after I done a crazy amount of grinding to level up

Playing as The Astrologer and managed to get The Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling spell which are fantastic

The staff can't be upgraded but is S teir which means it scales up with the amount of intelligence you have so I've dumped nearly all my level ups in that.

The Rock Sling spell fires 3 huge rocks which can track a single or multiple enemies. Around Lingrave I'm absolutely wrecking enemies with one shot and beating the mini bosses pretty easy. There's also easy farming spots around the area where you can get around 30-40,000 runes per hour.

Off the investigate Stormveil Castle later and then the north which I believe is significantly tougher than Lingrave
I really think sorcerer is the way to go in this game, whenever I'm stuck on a boss I normally get helped much more when I summon someone with INT. They just blast them from a far with some huge channel of energy

A good way into elden Ring now. I was for a long time playing quite underleveled and had detoured off to a rather difficult area when there was far easier things I hadn't done but I've now caught up to nearing unofficial recommended levels for the stage I'm at.

My initial impressions of the difficulty being imbalanced are still there though. I'm still getting spanked by standard mob enemies on my way to bosses multiple times over then I'm smashing the boss first time. it's just making no sense. I've just made it up a big cliff with what I would call posion harpies killing me repeatedly right before the next Grace. Finally made it, rested, entered the boss arena blindly, giant fire dragon, destroy it first time with barely a scratch. This has been a theme throughout.

I'm around level 60 now and still rocking my starting uchigatana albeit levelled up a decent amount and have the same starting samurai armour set on too, armour seems to have been really ignored this time.

From people I know playing it, I seem to be the only person not running a magic build, that seems to be the overpowered go to build this time around.
