12 systems visited

306 people killed
128 creature killed
59 elite enemies killed
928 headshots
181 scoped kills (still trying to find a decent sniper rifle beyond the old earth hunting rifle)

12 ships destroyed
10 ships stolen/commandeered
6 ships currently owned
Currently only a few quests in to the main story, and pretty deep in to the UC Vanguard quest line. Haven’t even visited Freestar Collective territory or Neon. Absolutely massive game. After level 12 or so if really opens up and you start to get a handle on the systems and everything you can do.
The reports that the early game is a slog that is well worth the effort are very accurate.
The world building and writing isn’t necessarily the best ever achieved in the history of gaming but it is better than made out in a few of the more critical reviews.
I am really enjoying it, especially from an Bethesda RPG purist perspective.
There have been a few crashes, some glitches requiring save-scumming, and one game breaking bug that I had to use a console command to resolve (I stopped being able to fire my weapons, which is apparently a commonly experienced issue but fairly easily resolved), but I don’t think it is anywhere near as buggy as Skyrim was at launch. And certainly infinitely more stable and compete than Fallout 76.
Can’t imagine the state it would have been if they hadn’t delayed release.
Still hoping they eventually add native DLSS 3.5, though, as even in my high end gaming rig it can have performance issues, especially in New Atlantis and a few set piece battles.
Looking forward to plowing another 250 hours in.
