General Videogame Thread

Just read up about NG+ on Starfield, I may well just do the main story and not ship building etc until my second play through, although I can’t see me doing it multiple times.

I've done exactly that but didn't want to post about it. It certainly has its bonuses

I'll add as well, you keep your level and skills but you lose everything else. But it's explained why. It's pretty fucking mind blowing and why it's possibly the best writing ever in a video game.

If you can put those times in consistently you’ll absolutely smash the lower splits that you’ll be starting in (rookies start on 1,350 iR but you can see the eating until you’ve progressed to D license). Those times would see you moving up through the spots fairly quickly.

I just took pole in top split with a 1:37.35 and ended up winning by about 30 seconds. Most were in the high 1:38’s to the low 1:40’s so as someone new to iRacing you’re up there straight away.

Yeah it's the consistency now (for every 39 there's a 41) but enjoying working on it. The rookie lobbies are quite fun dodging the madness, I decided to hang back in the 2 I've done so far in quali. First 2 laps with lower tyre pressures are the bugbear now, I know to be easier on em but haven't quite mastered it just yet. Same again tomorrow.

Glad to read it leaves off the worst week as I have some friends visiting for the Charlotte series.

I can really see how it grabs people in.

I know I've said this on your youtube, but just wanted to add a comment on there "for the algorithm"

Can I request posts about NG+ be put in spoiler boxes so those of us that want to be surprised by it can still participate in the thread?

(Note: I blindly scrolled down through this page when I first saw the topic pop up so as to avoid accidentally reading about it, so apologies if no spoilers were shared.)

Has anybody on here played snow runner? I'm finding as I'm getting older, I'm leaning more towards therapeutic games. Looks quite a chilled game but does it get repetitive?

Yes I have because I'm a massive nerd, it's okay but not a patch on Euro truck simulator but the key to euro truck simulator is pro mods, the extras that you get from it make the game huge, it's a great chill out game listening to the in game radios
