General Videogame Thread

Ah I think we're a couple of years off that though, so i can't wait. I'll probably just happily buy any remaster anyway, as TLOU was one of my fave games of all time and I certainly didn't regret doing the same for the PS4. Played it 2/3 times more.

I'm sure I read early on that they were pretty hopeful that TLOU2 would be ready for PS5 launch, or shortly after?

PS5 and Xbox Series X size compared to other consoles.

Really? I'd be surprised if so! I'd guess earliest will be around holiday 2021, which isn't that far admittedly, but enough to make me want to cave in now.

The longest milking of a game ever 7 years 3 generations of consoles it still going fcuking shameful. GTA 5

I think the online part of the game has been successful beyond their wildest imagination, which has not only led to them releasing it multiple times but also means they don't have to rush for a new GTA game. RDR 2 has probably been a massive help to them too.

I played the other day for the first time since 2015 and the game seems to have gone wild. Casinos, what the fuck? You can also own a business now. The last time I played was just when they brought heists out.

Really hope there are some big game announcements.

GTA 6 or the next Elder scrolls would totally sell it for me.

Sadly you've got years for them. GTA6 is rumoured to be around 2022/23. Bethesda recently said they're not pushing big on the next Elder Scrolls until Starfield is out. So you're looking a few years there too. Shite.

Bethesda have already said it'll be at until 2024 at the earliest until we see the next Elder Scrolls game. Pre production has started but I hey are busy finishing Starfield which is due out Christmas 2021

The release last night was quite underwhelming with just a few exclusive games on offer at release. The only big selling point for me at this stage is backward compatibility. As with all console launches it will take 2/3 years until we see the optimum capability of the console along with some great titles.

That really sucks if true. 13 years between games is in my opinion really poor. No doubt ill get the itch to play skyrim yet again but nothing beats that first play of skyrim.

It will be gone soon.

Amazon have taken down all sales of it and it will be distant memory for which anyone that every played it will have to apologise for.

Its a whole new world.

Do you have to insert this inane babbling into every thread?

There's a BLM thread if you want to rage against the dying of racist statues and tv shows.

I thought there would be some huge title to grab peoples attention. Im not techy enough to understand all the numbers that come with the ps5, for me its just about the games and where they push the boundaries. Some cool stuff about sound and the way it can develop lighting and stuff, but without a big game like those mentioned, i doubt ill be jumping straight in.

It's made them $6 Billion! Online has been a complete money printing machine.

Hard to think the series hasn't peaked now.
