General Videogame Thread

My copy of red dead redemption 2 from Amazon got delivered 2 days earlier for some reason. I didn't complain!!

You bastard!

I booked the day off worked and it didn't arrive until 3 bastard pm!!! It was 6pm before I played thanks to the 2-disc 105GB install and day one patch!!!!

Enjoy. It looks beautiful.

Again I'm waiting for the PS5 version, but even on PS4 it looks delicious.

I had a few grand saved up for a wedding that no longer exists due to the pandemic. Plus a holiday cancelled, and no gig tickets/football tickets to ever buy, so at the moment I'm finding it quite easy to justify buying games! haha.

Traded in my TLOU2 and picked up Ghost of Tsushima this morning. Played about four hours.

So far, I think the world and combat is beautiful, the graphics and music within the game is excellent.

The problems are it feels a tad rushed. Animations aren't quite perfect when using stealth, lips don't sync properly during combat. It feels like it needed a bit longer to perfect.

It's a great game, the graphics and music are stunning, you get totally lost in the whole experience... And at £1.49 on Steam its an absolute steal. Thanks for the heads up on the game "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture" I will deffo be purchasing it :)
bluetonium I finally got round to buying it, I'm about 2 hours into the game and it is fantastic... Thank you

Can't beat Civ VI, although Civ V was in many ways a better game. It just took WAY too long for builders to build improvements in Civ V otherwise it would be perfect.

Been having a look around the older Football Manager games (as I need a Linux native version) and found this database on FM18.

From 1995. Smashing squad we had then.

Finally I will get the chance to see Andy Dibble and Niall Quinn in my 4-2-3-1 Guardiola style tiki taka formation.

Was never a fan of Kavelashvili. Reckon I could sell him and replace him with this young lad I've spotted. Think he might be alright.

I've never been in to simulator games but I've become intrigued.

The new flight simulator looks absolutely fantastic and they have been able to map out the whole world using bing maps with the maps streaming through your internet connection rather being stored on the hard drive. It will also feature on the Xbox at a later date which could sway me to using an xbox going forward. Always enjoyed flying different planes in GTA V, I find it theraputic (until I start to cause trouble). No doubt flight sim is way more technical and a different experience.

Also, has anybody played any of the F1 games and are the fine to play with using the usual PS4 pad as opposed to a wheel?
My mates play on the pad (I have a wheel and racing seat) but it’s a cracking game. I finished 19th out of 9,364 in the weekend Silverstone online event which made me pretty proud of myself although the mid part of my race could have been faster.

Wow, that's a fantastic effort.

The F1 games look superb these days, I think the last one I played was 2001.
