It could possibly be the HDMI cable. Does the system still load a game (obvs you can't see it) but does it sound as though it's loading the game?It says no input signal on TV.

If you have a spare HDMI cable to test it and you're still getting the 'no signal' message, that indicates a faulty hard drive issue i'm afraid, so fingers crossed it's not.
Have you tried a hard reset, just to ensure that it's a software issue not a hardware one? That'd be your last resort besides a repair. :(Thanks for the response. Yeah I am in a dilemma too. I have been Xbox so far but I want to switch to PS5. But after Microsoft's acquisition of Zenmax studio, I honestly don't know now. But my current Xbox is done sadly. As for the other question, I really don't know. I've been PS, PS2, PS3 and PS4, but £450 is a bit too steep for me right now, but one of the incidents which has swayed me is Microsofts acquisition of Zenimax/Bethesda.
They've (in the past) released many of my favourite game titles, and I look forward to ES6, Starfield and the potential for new Fallout games, my favourite series of all. If Microsoft have these series as Xbox exclusives only, i'll have to consider a Series X, if Bethesda are allowed to release on multiple formats, albeit on a timed release, i'll still plump for a PS5 as they too have other game series I am quite fond of.
So for me it's about the Bethesda scenario now.

One thing to seriously consider is memory mate. Microsoft have been very shrewd here. The series S only has 512gb and an expandable SSD is £220 to bump the storage up to an extra 1TB. That makes it £470. The X-Box Series X has 1TB and costs £450 and has a disk drive and better overall specs. With some games now using over 100gb in storage that will only go higher with graphics etc and 512gb is gone pretty quick. You could buy a current gen X-Box One X that runs 4k and has a higher performance than a normal X-Box One and has 1TB storage and just buy games you get a free upgrade to next gen with or just buy a Series X. Had a few hours on Rocket League as it's become free to play. Actually enjoyed it although the controls are a bit tricky and will take time to get used to.
It's cross play as well and really easy to find a game as there was 1.4M players online at 8pm!

Just had 4 hours on Mafia Remastered on the PS4 pro. Decent game so far, the story is interesting. Just had a good mission with having to take part in a motor race. It does fall short of red dead and GTA in terms of them bringing the game world to life, there’s not much variety so far aside from in mission.
I don't need 1TB of storage though, I pretty much only play one or two games at a time, I've never even got near the cap on my day 1 Xbox One or my bog standard PS4. I frankly don't particularly care about graphics, no game has ever been good because of graphics, it's gameplay that makes a game enjoyable. (something a lot of devs seem to have forgotten sadly)
