Its reactions like last night that give it some sort of buzz to the action so the fans didnt get what they wanted who cares I think all the wrestlers involved must of thought that was a great night and crowd to wrestle for. Its worst when its dead most of the night for them. They were involved in 1 of the biggest PPV there is.

As for Bryan v Sheamus they done that before in a Wrestlemania and it lasted only seconds which was a joke. So a match with them could be good but I cant see Bryan fighting him I think he will be champion before Wrestlemania. The WWE fucked up by not having 2 World titles can honestly see them using both titles again. To stop what happen last night happening again as they are too big not to have just 1 title.

Nailed it there.

I'm so excited about Raw tonight just to see how they deal with this fall out. This is much better than a few years back when Cena-Orton would have been a huge match that the crowd was into.

After reading some of the posts from Foley/Bryan and other internet darlings on Twitter, I'm certain that this is a work and WWE has found a way to use social media to reinvent kayfabe.

yeah Foley's reaction was the interesting bit, I don't believe he'd do something like that without being prompted.

I think that the night after a big PPV is always worth looking at. I dont watch it that much but at times I will do and more so after last nights PPV. I think the fall out will be huge. Sets everything up for Wrestlemania. Who will have a match up with whoever and how both sides mixes. I like Wyatt think he is a classly wrestler 1 of the best of the new wrestlers I have seen for a long long time. I think he should be pushed right to the top as they can do a lot with him in the future.

Elimination Chamber is next I think so on that there is always a title match were a title is up for grabs in the chamber. I think this is were the title is likely to change hands. Would love to see someone new pushed right now. I dont mean Bryan but Wyatt the pop he gets from his music alone is good it reminds me of a Mankind type but a better wrestler than Mick Foley.

Re: Royal Rumble On Tonight

I don't watch wrestling anymore, I'm a bit of a gloryhunter in many aspects (loved the Attitude Era), but I saw Foley's tweet on my TL this morning so I've taken a bit of interest as I was a fan of Mick when I was a kid.

Just read through this thread - very interesting. Whenever I flicked it on over the past few years I've never quite seen the appeal of Cena - didn't realise he used to get booed!

What Foley said could be a work, don't know if anyone saw what his son Dewey has said as well - quite a bitter rant about how Triple H is up his own arse and that his Dad made him what he was. Not sure if I particularly agree with all that as I think a lot of things came together to make Triple H what he was, the end of the Stone Cold/McMahon fued and his battles with The Rock benefitted each other careers.

You're saying Daniel Bryan needs to get given a real chance but also that the company needs new blood?

So it's either mis-management of talent or that there's a lack of or no talent at all?

They have more than enough good wrestlers to carry the company, sadly nobody knows they exist or simply don't care about them..

the next generation, the new blood, whatever you want to call it, is the Sandow's, Rhodes's, Axels, Reigns, Cesaros, Zigglers etc. who haven't been given the shot at the top yet, and by shot I mean sustained run main eventing PPVs against each other and scrapping for the gold.

There's an abundance of talent in that roster, none of it get used properly and the top of the roster needs new blood.

It's not anti-establishment at all.

It's wanting what they can't have for lack of a better term.

if Bryan fans get their way then he'll become the new Cena and then it will start all over again.

Then along will come another guy and he'll get held back and the fans will want him and not Bryan.

Rinse repeat

no it won't if the WWE book properly, the only reason Cena became Cena is because apart from Edge he didn't have a legitimate rival for about 3 years, he just buried everyone in site and had stupidly long title reigns doing 5 moves and cheesy promos that bored the arse off everyone. If he'd traded the title more often with guys like Angle, HBK, HHH, Edge, Mysterio and had proper meaningful feuds then he wouldn't be half as disliked as he is now. If Bryan had a good run but then started traded the title in great matches with the other unfancied stars then he'd keep his momentum and WWE would gain momentum. If he goes 9 months beating nothing but Orton, Batista and Big Show before losing it to Cena then yeah, it's going to fail miserably.
The reason Cena became Super Cena is because he alone has paid for Vince's granddaughters granddaughters granddaughters $1million mansion in the future.

If the company cared about ability over gimmicks, or even just entertainment then the likes of Cena wouldn't even exist.

But he makes money, a fuck ton of it. And the more Bryan get's pushed up then hit back down, the more people buy his merchandise.

That will only last so long, and I dread the day that Daniel Bryan fights Daniel Bryan for the Daniel Bryan Bryan-ship of the World. If the fans have their way that is.

Ziggler is legitimately buried due to how he talks openly about the poor management in the company, he gets legitimately punished.

The Bryan seed was planted long ago and is growing into the biggest cash cow known to man. I'm sure you'll even buy his special made 'Daniel Bryan - Champion' t-shirt when it's gets released, due to how long and suffering the wait has been...

There is real poor handling of talent, and real burials;

Ziggler, Sandow etc

Bryan doesn't fall into those categories, not even close.

I dislike Cena immensely, given his incredibly awful in-ring ability and the predictably of a kick out a two that he brings. Yet I was itching for him to come back when he was injured because I'd rather him than Bryan.

And that's not even solely due to my opinion of Bryan as a wrestler, it's his fans. I doubt I would dislike him as much as I do if I didn't have to listen to those hideous Yes/No chants every 5 seconds. He's was given an easy to follow gimmick that allowed the fans to interact, and that has helped him immensely but after 1,000,000 chants it gets on your tits.

Bryan will win more title this year than guys like Ziggler etc

Which shows how different their levels of "buried" are. I love guys like Ziggler and Axel and I just look forward to seeing them wrestle, win or lose. I don't boo everyone else because they're someone else. Which is another thing about Bryan fans that irks me. Because if they were so into Bryan and his ability then watching him wrestle should be enough and seeing him every week and every PPV should be enough, but no they just want what they can't have, and when he does evetually become a sustained Champion..... the novelty will soon fade and they'll be on to the next bandwagon. If not, then Vince may as well give Bryan the belt now and let him keep it forever because the day he'd lose it to anyone there'll be riots that would make the whole of L.A. laugh.

It's a money driven business and as long as this current Bryan angle is making them money then they'll continue it. Because that's what it is, an angle, a "work", not a funeral.

There's wrestling fans then there's Bryan fans, there an entire different animal. They don't want whats best for wrestling just what's best for Bryan, which irritates the fuck out of me and others.

I won't say anymore on the matter except that say by this time next year, Bryan will have added to his already 2 time WWE Championships, I'll leave it at that.
Mate you're nuts. "There is Bryan fans then there is wrestling fans" ?? Seriously? It's because most were wrestling fans first that Bryan is so well liked! It was suggested before that the YES gimmick was manufactured, I don't remember it that way. Daniel Bryan won the title "yes", then lost it after a match and started shouting "no". Had the partnership with Kane. Turned face and it's now "Yes" again. It's too simple for the creative team to have thought about themselves. Wrestling was here long before him and will be in future, as for mis management of talent, completely agree about Ziggler and Axel. I don't watch NXT but noticed there was a big guy in the rumble last night I hadn't seen before and he was from NXT. That big e langston (impressive as he is) is being pushed over Ziggler is proof in my opinion of wwe preferring big guys rather than talented guys.

Of course his gimmick is manufactured, just like every other wrestler ever.

And what I mean by separating the category of fans is that there are too many that just want one person to win everything rather than see numerous underused guys get promoted. Wrestling fans would want all those poorly booked guys to get a fair chance, but seemingly the crowd can't and dont see anyone other than Bryan.

It's him ahead of everyone else and the boos and chants showed that, hard working guys who are over, trying to entertain the fans only to get booed out of the building and hearing an irrelevent wrestlers name cheered when they're in the ring.

I dont really rate Batista but having heard about his reaction to the crowd after the PPV I have a lot of respect for him.

RAW will be 3 hours of YES and Daniel Bryan chants, rather than Ziggler, Bryan, Axel chants etc.

It's not anti-establishment as someone previously said, it's just people wanting Daniel Bryan vs Daniel Bryan for every match.

Now I'm definitely out if this thread, starting to annoy me all over again.
