General Wrestling Thread

None of this American rubbish:-

The best wrestling was on Saturday afternoon with Kent Walton commentating.

Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Jackie (Mr TV) Pallo, Les Kellet, John Lees, Mal Kirk (The Yorkshire Miner) Count Bartelli (From Crewe) Jim Breaks, Rollerball Rocco, Jim Hussy, Alan Kilby, Mike(flash)Jordon from Gorton, Kendo Nagasaki, Johnny Saint, Adrian Street, Leon Arras (aka actor Brian Glover). etc.
Ahhhh the memories,Easy,easy,easy...

Just think funhouse Bray is much more interesting, and the finish of the match was just farcical, and his mandible claw sucks.

Disagree. I think both personalities have their place and are both done really well.

My *only* criticism of the whole thing is that he's become champ too quickly IMHO, I think he should have decimated the mid-card for a while, then stepped up into some bigger feuds, before going for a title run.

As it stands, he's been built up strong, so he's going to have to keep the title or face looking weak.

Still think the fiend is the best thing in the company by an absolute mile at the moment.

Attitude Era fans, fans of Undertaker, general fans of wrestling, make sure you watch Stone Cold's Broken Skull Sessions with Mark Calaway. Great stuff

Watched it last night, thought it was good, not really sure how I feel about Taker breaking character on the Network but I did enjoy the Untold about his match with HBK at Bad Blood 1997 too.

Couldn't see anyone talking about it after a quick skim through the last few pages but did anyone watch those Viceland: Dark Side Of The Ring documentaries? Best docs I've seen about wrestling in ages, especially the Von Erich and Gino Hernandez ones.

Kayfabe is long dead, everyone knows he's not actually dead, and as long as he's not like the new breed who have feuds on tv, then post themselves and their enemies on social media enjoying a spa day, he retains some mystique, IMHO.

He'll always, always, be the GOAT, and I gope when he does hang up the trenchcoat for good, we get a book full of his stories.
