amusing how giving a hard working and good tag team their recognition shuts the crowd up about CM Punk better than giving them Brock Lesnar.
I missed it last night, who is this tag team you are referring to?

Surely not the Usos?

indeed, good tag team imo.
Ah of course

Has anybody else picked up the WWE Network?

I'm loving it. Every WWF, WCW and ECW PPV ever

I managed to sign up for the network using some fake US address details and paying by PayPal. It worked for the first day but then the geoblock got turned on. Has anyone got any suggestions to proxy/VPN around it?

It's $9.99 a month with a 1 week free trial.

I watch it on my PS3, you can see it on XBox or PC too.

I pay for a service called Unblockus. It allows me to change the Netflix region that I view as the best TV is on the American one and the best movies are on the Brazilian one. It costs $4.99 a month. This also allows me to access WWE Network, Hulu and the other region locked content. They also offer a 1 week's free trial.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.unblock-us.com/how-to-set-up/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.unblock-us.com/how-to-set-up/</a>

That is very easy instructions on how to set them up. Once you have done this, you can sign up for WWE network using any American mailing address (think I used the Empire State Building) then pay through PayPal.

The great thing about it is not just the older content but you also get to stream every PPV live as part of your membership.

£3 for Unblockus is a cost I have already, so my only additional cost is the £6 a month for the actual network and I tend to order the PPVs anyway

Some observations:

  • They've edited all of the Owen Hart stuff out of Over the Edge 99, and put a graphic up at the start. Gone are the crowd shots, JR updates, the Jarrett pre-match promo and a few references throughout the show.
  • Benoit is there and uncensored. The channel has no language or violence censorship, even Stone Cold telling Benoit to "go and kill someone". Mickie James infamous sexual assualt of Trish Stratus seems to be gone and switches to a crowd shot.
  • The collection is at the minute every WWE, original ECW and WCW pay per view including one off shows such as the UK mini PPVs they did in '96ish.
  • Every Raw and Smackdown since about 2012 is available to stream though due to existing rights deal the new ones are about a month behind. There is currently a selection of classic Raws to watch and more come out every day.
  • Legends House and some of the new series aren't yet available. It seems like much of the new content was filmed either for Classics on Demand or the WWE Channel before they were scrapped. Legends of Wrestling roundtable is on there in selected episodes.
  • Some New Jack matches are missing from original ECW events, possibly due to music issues. Others matches of his are available.
  • There are events from the WWWF and World Class at the minute with more territories to be added. The oldest event on there at the minute seems to be Sammartino at the Garden for the WWWF title in 1975
  • No Hall of Fame ceremonies yet, no Nitro/Thunder yet. Original ECW TV (non-PPV) is up and complete.
  • Main Event, Superstars and NXT are available and all up to date.
  • The Network is a bit like a TV station; it has scheduled programming and the like which is how it deals with adding new content. All content once it has shown first is then available on demand and is part of the library. All new PPVs are streamed for free and after Elimination Chamber will be available in the library immediately after they have finished.
  • They have a couple of mini-shoot DVDs titled "Beyond the Ring", the first one is a sit down interview between Bret, HBK and JR filmed last year and the second is one about Stone Cold. I imagine this is where the DVD and documentaries will be added.

If you're subscribing to see PPVs from the companies and maybe to stream live PPVs then it's an absolute bargain. If you're subscribing to watch all the Raws and Nitros then you might be better waiting until the Monday Night War series starts. This is one of those networks that will be fucking amazing in 6-12 months, at the moment it's just "very good"
