Genesis reformed

Was there. Not as good as Bruce at Roundhay, but still excellent.
Home by the Sea & Los Endos incredible.
Complete Home by the Sea was played at one of the shows I've seen and it was an absolute treat, great sound, loud. crunchy guitar, crescendo keyboards, every note perfect.
I don't mind using the cliche eargasm.

Good luck to all those trying to get tickets.

Not for me, ta. Not being ripped off, for a bloke that can't sing properly/drum anymore, and for the way they've treated Chester.
I'm off to see Visible Touch tonight, at Liverpool Philharmonic, where they're doing all of Duke, plus others. Looking forward to it.

Brother in law just tried to get us tickets for this at the MEN . Cheapest he could find were £180 each , apparently over £700 for seats at the front . I love Genesis but there's no way I'd pay that to watch three old guys chasing past glories . I'll stick to Steve Hackett doing Seconds Out at the Apollo !

Sorry, Phil is well past it.

If you want to see top rate Genesis stuff from the Gabriel/Hackett era I suggest any of the following:

The Watch - Italian band , heading to Band on the Wall
The Musical Box, Canadian band, when they tour

Also, the man himself, Steve Hackett's 'Seconds Out' tour, later this year

I'm going to see Hackett in Oxford doing Seconds Out so it will be interesting to contrast that with Genesis shortly after in Birmingham.

Tickets are obviously going well as they have already added six dates (could have predicted that yesterday). I managed to get presale tickets for Birmingham; was also trying for O2 simultaneously as an alternative and never go a sniff of those.

I'm afraid ticket prices for these mega bands are very high these days. They'd better put on a good show.
