George Galloway | Wins Rochdale Bi-Election (p4)

He has moved in a strange direction, what i think really hurts him though is he was expelled by Labour.

He now takes his disdain out of the left, his workers party is very social conservative, maybe George is becomming a Tory

Unless the Tories have moved with the Overton Window (and I think they have, which is why they and Labour occupy the same spaces), I think he holds on to the 'traditional left' that had family values and not tailored towards teaching about trans and any sex in school. It doesn't mean he doesn't respect the identity of any one person.

I, too, don't think these subjects should be broached in school.

The rest of his manifesto seems very socialist to me.

In your "lesser of two evils" that would lean towards a preference or you'd say you don't give a fuck about either. So, it's a preference.

You idiot.

You want to go there, I can, too.

My preference is for both to be incapable of running and a better democratic candidate to win.

You've shit yourself and smeared it on your face. That isn't something to be proud of.

So, why present the well worn mantra "lesser of two evils", then?

What you said above is what I've said.

I'm not dumb enough to repeat the false bullshit positioning of being forced to choose between the two. Your silly response actually suits you: "You've shit yourself and smeared it on your face".

Just to divert the conversation back, I'm lucky enough to have a workers party representative in my area to chuck my household vote at (5 of us). No idea who he is but will do a quick check to make sure he's not an ex-BNP opportunist or worse. If he is a knob then we'll go Green.

I live in a large London Muslim area and haven't seen a single Labour (or Tory) campaigner. Good.

Well, apart from stuff like that, what else has he done?

I find it odd a household of 5 all have the same views and vote, my family have always had had variation of views, within a certain field. Doubt we've ever all voted the same way.

Green or WP seems a curious mix.

WP are up there with Reform for opposing environmental policies, and Galloway is pretty much opposite end of the spectrum to the Greens with his socially conservative view.

Good point. If he can ensure all his household vote the same maybe Reform is for him with their authoritarian / fascist tendencies.

Same with our lot when I was a kid. We had to ban the subject of politics at family meet ups in the end lol.
