He's questioning accuracy and not morality. The difference between sex with a 15 year old and 16 year old is a few years in jail.
He's not arguing about whether what happened was right or wrong, only that she altered the 16 to 15 knowingly and for political reasons. Most people furious at this should be furious at the opportunistic candidate who used outrage towards underage sex for their own means rather than the person who pointed this hypocrisy out.

I can't argue with the overall but only with the specific. He wasn't wrong in this criticism that has outraged so many. In fact you could go so far as to say that not only was the not wrong, he was absolutely right in his point.
His point has been twisted by others though to mean other things. If I suggest that your name is not actually stony but your real name, and people started getting on my back about "well privacy", my point isn't any less true. Your name is still your name. Perhaps ill-advised, but not false
