German Vs England

Well, the signs were all there, the first matches, the team selection, the substitutions and so...
It is clear that the thuggish way of bulldozing your way like in premier league does not work on international level.
A clean slate is required, if you want progress, retire those larger than life multimillionaires who don't really give a shit and pick a bunch of youngsters who have something to fight for.

And the last point, get an English national to manage your national team.

I just hope Berto is watching because Ozil looks a class above anything we have on show today. Oh and that Centre back playing at left back hasn't put a foot wrong either
We can only dream of Ozil now. Should have signed him before the world cup.

Englnd have shown a bit of heart, players have been better, and they can leave this game with ther heads up at least, even Rooney has shown form, and been better, keeping in mind that Messi hasn't found the net yet either.

But Messi has actually been playing great though creating pretty much all Argentina's goals.

He is a better player than Rooney, no question of that.

But he's had world class players around him who have carried the weight of it a bit and took pressure off him. That and world class players who can play. That and he's had the freedom to do what he wants him the game. Rooney is best, without question, when he's up front by himself.

He's not been given that chance to do the same, fine there's no way on his form they could justify playing him there before this game, but they had nothing to loose when they were loosing today, could have benefited from leaving a player like him run about and try and find a goal.

You can say that Rooney's not played and everyone's felt the pressure but he's had a fuckin world of pressure on his shoulders. I don't envy him that.
