Germany v England | Nations League | Tues 7th June '22

Le Saux is taking the piss, great game of football my fucking arse.
I agree with him, particularly that this is considered a glorifying friendly. And very good atmosphere as well, a very good English support - and no Sweet Caroline thank fuck! It is just that Southgate has been trying to kill it is the problem. And Mount and Saka, what disastrous non-performances. Saka might be overplayed, I can understand that, but Mount, my good, if there was ever a performance rated 0, this was it.

Just don’t get the style of play. Is it keep it tight and hope for a bit of magic off the wingers on the counter attack? There’s absolutely no control. Rice and Bellingham are both really good players but could never control a game like Ilkay.

I’m saying all of this but Grealish put 2 sitters on a plate for Kane so I’m hindsight we should have won.

Funny old game
He was too busy diving

I don't know how anyone is saying it was a dive(clipped his back foot to send it into his front foot) but I'd have been asking for offside there. It wasn't like the defender had much clue about the ball deflecting off him on first inspection. Maybe I need to see it again though.

I watched it back and I wouldn’t call it a deflection, he’s playing the ball.
