It looked bad but what else is a keeper supposed to do in those situations? He has players coming in hard, he goes out to punch the ball, on occasion he'll get the man. Ederson did the same last season in a game.

Interesting to see how Renato Sanches gets on in the rest of this game. He was the dominant midfielder in the ten minutes preceding the goal. Had an excellent season with Lille and now looks as if he’s getting back to his best.

His ability to hold players off with his gigantic arse is a sight to behold. Even better than Sterling at it

rare pen for keeper punching a player in the face. Always find those a hard one because if you start giving them then you're eliminating the punch in a keeper's arsenal and it makes defending set pieces virtually impossible.

Think you have to treat it the same as a tackle, you can come and punch it and take the man too and it not be a foul in some situations but there hes misjudged that punch, he's only just touched it and the follow through has taken him out. That was the equivalent of a tackle that taken the ball but the foot has come over the top of the ball and gone into the players shin.
