• Match 1: Runner-up Group A v Runner-up Group C
• Match 2: Winner Group D v 3rd Place Group B/E/F
• Match 3: Winner Group B v 3rd Place Group A/C/D
• Match 4: Winner Group F v Runner-up Group E
• Match 5: Winner Group C v 3rd Place Group A/B/F
• Match 6: Winner Group E v Runner-up Group D
• Match 7: Winner Group A v 3rd Place Group C/D/E
• Match 8: Runner-up Group B v Runner-up Group F

Potentially a France vs Germany on the cards if Switzerland beat France and Poland top the group.

4 groups winners theoretically have a much easier passage to the next round. Shit set up. Teams playing or at least happy with a point after winning their first game.

Think that was a case of two teams being overly familiar with each other. Cannot understand how two teams from the same qualifying group end up in the same group in the actual tournament. UEFA should avoid that.

It was pretty poor, but quite a few have been, this one even lacked the last minute drama which seems to have been the norm.

The sooner the group stage is over, the better. Then we can get down to the nitty-gritty of knockout football. I always feel the same about the WC & CL as well.
