Germany's far right

I assume in all these elections the EU one's were not well utilised like when we had them and the turnout was like those for a PCC vote is now. If the young are responsible for what happened its up to all the parties to get the older voters out in their GE's - they may still lose but it could be by a much finer margin

Pretty much. The European elections tend to bring out the ideologically committed and protest votes. The AfD has been trending downwards in national polling last few months - 16% is what they got today and that’s around their current national polling level. The current Govt coalition got a real kicking though.

which is funny coz all the usual suspects on X are trailing it as " change is coming" ignoring the fact we are about to elect a left wing administration and a right wing EU would like as not ignore us as we were "going the wrong way". They get a semi on for the slightest thing whilst being incapable to zoom out for the wider picture

It’s the same with the traditional anglo-centric media who are largely clueless about European politics. The new EU Parliament will likely be constituted the same as the old EU Parliament bar a handful of seats. It’s 27 countries voting, not just 2 or 3 and some Eastern European countries have handed gains to the centre-left. Vox in Spain gained a seat, but their voting share fell from the 2019 election. As always with 27 countries voting it’s a mixed bag. But, as already said, it’s likely nothing will actually change based on projections.

This BSW party is odd. Named after someone of Iranian descent called Sarah Wagenecht . Naming a party after someone in itself is odd , certainly by British standards.
Socially conservative, economically left, labeled as pro Russian.
