Caballero looks to be leaving and Rulli or Ederson, doesn't matter, as we need another nr2. But, unlike Ederson, Rulli doesn't seem so keen to join.

In many ways we need a couple of keepers a young prospect that we are prepared to send out on loan - who can play and develop - and another who's prepared to sit it out and come in as and when we required. The difficulty with keepers is that you could sit them on the bench for a whole season (in some cases) but if your keeper picks up a serious knock they could end up playing 30 or 40 games - so it's a tough one. You need someone with quality who's prepared not to play much but few keepers will be prepared to do this for long.

Says pretty much everybody. He won't come in and automatically replace Hart who has been at this club for a decade and is still on of our best performers.

He might not be no1 when he starts but I hope he had the ambition and belief that he can properly challenge Joe otherwise it's a pointless signing.

he wont be nr 1 from the start but he wont come here to be a certain nr2 he will come to fight hart for his place

I agree with the majority of comments that Caballero wasn't good enough.
But not many keepers want to join to play second fiddle to Hart. Other keepers know how good he is and, injuries permitting, their game time will be limited.
Can't blame Rulli wanting assurances.
Personally I think we'll sign Valdes. Someone Guardiola knows well and a player already settled in the area.

As we are looking to sign a lot of players this window we could really use one or two being cheaper. €8m is a steal as were Gundogan for 20m and we need to really lay up a good plan to get all of them

However, since we apparently have "links" with his old club's owners, we've had a release clause added to say we can buy him at any point for 14m Euros. The minimum fee for everyone else is 35m.

Yeah. But very unproven. Only 10 league games for Benfica. And the Portuguese clubs (Porto, Benfica) always overvalue their players. And many of them turn out to be overrated. (Mangala, Javi Garcia etc..)
