Gerry Gow - RIP

Hi fellas, A Bristol City supporter here, please excuse the incursion. I thought it worth registering to comment.
Reading this thread really shows how Gerry left his mark (literally in many cases) on all that watched and met him.
As I'm sure you well know, we had the best years of Gerry and he's an utter legend at our club, a term used far too easily nowadays but not in his case. We are all absolutely gutted to read the news this morning.
Thanks to you all from us BCFC supporters for a lovely thread, it's been linked on our social media so utter respect to you.
We are planning something suitable for our home game with Blackburn in a couple of weeks although the song we always used for him might not go down too well in the modern world but we'll do it anyway.
R.I.P Gerry, never, ever forgotten and thanks.
Great post we thought the world of him and he only played 36 games

Hi, I am one of the moderating team from the Bristol City fans forum "One Team In Bristol".

Following the sad passing of Gerry Gow, a number of our supporters raised the issue of us being able to raise funds to go towards his memory.

As a result, Gerry's son Chris has passed on the following message to one of our members

Thanks for letting me know mate, we need no help for dads funeral, but we are raising money for our local Weldmar and Fortuneswell ward in Dorchester which both were brilliant to dad and us through his illness, if u could please pass the message on, nice gesture..... Chris..

In response to this, Bristol City fan Tommy Wallen has set up a "Just Giving" page where all funds raised will go to the Weldmar Hospice.

If you would like to contribute, donations can be made using this link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tommy-wallen?newPage=True

More information on the Weldmar Hospice, and what care they provide can be found here: https://www.weld-hospice.org.uk/what-we-do/

RIP GERRY

Watching the Bristol City v Blackburn game tonight and they just had minute silence for Gerry Gow, played some of the goals he scored on the big screen including a goal for City v Palace. Sad day for Bristol fans who payed the respects to a club legend, great tribute BCFC.
