Gerry Gow

Quite how he stayed on the lower divisions as long as he did amazed me. What a player he was a few of these twats we have now should take a leaf out of his book.honest commitment and endeavour.

Get well soon Gerry.
Besides being a great player he is also a great person .He along with Bobby Mack and Tommy Hutch were guests of the Prestwich & Whitefield branch one weekend .came up for a meeting on the Friday then the game on the Saturday ,that was a week end to remember

Gerry Gow, Bobby McDonald and one of my all time favourites Tommy Hutchison transformed that early eighties team. Good luck Gerry.

Will never forget him lining up against the Spurs superstars of Villa, Ardiles, Hoddle, Archibald, Crooks etc in the 100th FA Cup Final. Gerry was surrounded by our kids Reid, Ranson, Caton, Mckenzie. Just prior to kick off he was punching his fists and screaming encouragement to our players and from the off he crunched into the Spurs players. They did not know what hit them. He led by example and drove us forward. Only 30 games for us, but we still remember his 100% commitment 35 years on.

Get well soon Gerry.

It's a shame some of the spineless diva's currently on our books don't have a minuscule of Gerry's guts and determination.
