Getting giddy

Getting giddy and rightly so. 7 wins on the bounce. Each feels better than the last.

last night we produced the best performance from a City team I have seen in Europe. We didn't just sneak it, we totally dominated one of the better teams in Europe. It was like watching Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern play. I thought after a very physically demanding Derby game, we'd have little left in the tank, and we'd have a really tough game, but we gave them a footballing lesson.

Perhaps we will get a rude awakening when we play barcelona, but we are progressing and remarkably quickly.

I just hope we can physically maintain this level of workrate and performance match by match. It's an absolute pleasure to watch. I still have this nagging feeling that whenever it gets this good, then something bad is around the corner so prove me wrong City.

be giddy, enjoy it, get wild and shout from the rooftops.

just remember how to lose.

You can't help what's in your City DNA. We all have it.

Fucking hell a happy Marvin. The times they are a-changing.
Always happy when we win, but 7 wins on the bounce and this looks and feels like a new team playing football at a level we've not reached before.

I don't know whether this is a danger signal. As long as the players still have the capacity for the hard work that is necessary, we'll keep going.

The Barca games could provide a reality check. Their front 3 are a scary proposition.

Last night was awesome. We never looked in any danger, I think they had one shot on target. Our work rate and pressing was superb as was our possession, they just couldn't get the ball for long periods of time.

I watched Barca highlights last night and I thought, wow that's like City. OMG we are playing that way.

I do think we're on the verge of being absolutely fucking massive, I mean on a par with RM and Barca.
I suspect Pep has discovered a team and squad and youth system that will keep him at City for the next ten years and break the monopoly of the big EU teams.
I watched Sane, Sterling, DeBryne celbrating together and thought thats our future. it must be shite for utd fans seeing not only present city team but what we have lined for the future.
It's a pleasure to see them on TV now and pundits saying good things.
being at the game is no longer the fear of last season where it was inevitable the opposition would score.
All of the things I been saying to friends and family over the last five or so years, about how we're building up to this is coming true.

giddy yes

At least half the teams in the Prem are better than the opposition last night, but still, you can only beat what's put out in front of you
I really believe in our manager and his quest for absolute perfection in preparation for each match and for what he demands from his players

What has really surprised me this week is that I thought Tottenham and Arsenal would be carving up the Prem with us this year, yet both come up against decent sides in Europe, one gets very lucky with a totally undeserved draw and the other gets beaten
We could be taking both of these to pieces and if we do, God help the rest

So are we...we have come close on several occasions of beating them...we had an inferiority complex...I have a feeling we won't have one anymore

Agree,think we've been unlucky v Barca,players sent off,penalties against,dodgy decisions and never really taken a good hiding.
Our time will come.

If only this was the team that played Madrid in the semi's last season........

No they aren't. Gross overrating of the premier league again.

BM went to newly promoted Freiburg last weekend and were battered
Don't forget, the opposition last night finished 4th in their league last season

In the Prem

us
Arsenal
Chelsea
Tottenham
Liverpool
Everton
Southampton
Rags
Leicester

I'm stopping at eight plus us, as these are definite and all will be much sterner tests for us

The season we won it under Mancini before Christmas we looked like we was going to win the league by 10+ points and ended up winning it on goal difference.
