Used to work at a place years ago on nights. No one ever used to go upstairs in the building because they said it was haunted. Always hearing footsteps, turning on taps, doors opening etc

I used to go up there for a shit in peace. I knew no one would bother me

We had painter the other year refused to work alone on the top floor as there kept hearing footsteps and laughing and doors opening randomly when locked.

We have 2 but the one on the floor I work in the basement been a right pain in the arse tonigh.

Worked till 7 and sure she knows I wanted to get out sharpish as kept fucking about turning off taps and opening fridges.

Pisses about all the time but right annoying today.

Anyone else have annoying spectres piss about when you are working?

Mrs MB worked on a ward a few years back and it wasn’t always the most busy on a night shift so when quiet they’d take it in turns to get an hour or two shut eye in the office. There were a lot of stories from nurses on the ward of weird happenings in the office the more extreme saying they’d been woken up being chocked. Mrs MB experienced some stuff in that room, nowt as weird as yours, and how much of that was down to the idea being planted in the brain we will never know.

I personally don’t believe in ghosts but have seen/heard the odd weird thing that could be explained away but the rationale explanation for what happened doesn’t match the situation … so who knows. My in-laws used to live in a house and they’d have music and stuff playing when they got home and other stuff like lights and noises - it was only that one house never before or after. It certainly appealing to think there is something after we’ve gone.

Yeah I am similar, when I first worked at this palce a few things falling off shelves, doors randomly swinging open and the radio being switched off I put down to normal things like not being put on the shelf properly, a draught, a wonky socket etc, but as those who had worked there had had similar previous and ongoing shenanaghans happening my thinking changed.

I have been alone stock taking in a room and someone knocks on the door, store room shelves pulled out, radios switched on and off and toilets flushing when the staff room is empty.

And it ain't just my staff, caretakers, maintanance, office and teaching staff all have stories of wierd stuff happening on the top floor and basement (basement were previously used as a mourge)
