This fits with the medieval theory of the succubus and incubus demons. A succubus would steal sperm from sleeping men. An incubus would lie with women and get them pregnant.

The theory was that demons could not create sperm. And thus had to steal it from humans. Of course, it was sinful to have sex with demons. Your priest would give you a stiff penance.

Not sure if I have told this before,I’m open minded to this stuff although have never experienced or seen anything.But my son worked in a nursing home for a couple of years,mentioned something about doing the rounds on the rooms checking residents with another worker,she went into one room him the next as he came out and the girl was heading out of the other room the door slammed shut ( these doors have the slow close mechanism) son said you’d have to actually seen it happen to grasp that it slammed so quick,she tried to open door and couldn’t my son who is pretty strong was pushing the door but he says it was as if something was definitely pushing against him the girl started panicking and crying when suddenly he said it opened with ease,the caretaker next day checked the door everything fine mechanism and all..
Same nursing home a nurse checking on residents came running down to the staff room son said she was as white as a sheet she said something had ran past her very fast in the corridor..

Years ago, my missus worked in a factory. A ghost was supposed to mess with one of the machines, and most staff could not get it to work. My missus could, but she would say something like 'Now, (name) stop messing about and let me get on with my work.'

The machine would then work perfectly.

Of course, one explanation could be that the machine responded to the human voice.

We have 2 but the one on the floor I work in the basement been a right pain in the arse tonigh.

Worked till 7 and sure she knows I wanted to get out sharpish as kept fucking about turning off taps and opening fridges.

Pisses about all the time but right annoying today.

I'm with you with that. I used to frequent a place years ago and the woman that burned to death in the 1920's couldn't let it go. It didn't matter one jot where you put anything, in the morning everything had been moved.

Pictures were propelled off walls, flying into the middle of the room, stuff would fly out of trays for no reason, and electrical gremlins were a given.

I'll give her her due though, she didn't hurt anyone, and although she protested a lot, she was benign in a spooky sort of way.
