I can't see why anyone would sign him now on monster wages when they can wait till next summer and give him the transfer fee as a sign on bonus and put him on realistic, non wage breaking wages instead.

Probably to secure him.

There won't be any shortage of teams wanting him next season when his contract is up.

If my keeper was Onana, I think I'd be tempted to just pony up a transfer fee to improve my chances of get this fella instead.

With Donarumma, Dumfries and Rodrygo. We’d win the fucking quadruple, league, UCL, World Cup and Superbowl. Even with 2 out of 3 of those players, we’d be the by far best team in the league again imo

Still seems there is a chance this could happen and if Eddie still wants out then £26m is Jack shit for a goalkeeper of this quality.

Fabrizio saying on his YouTube that Pep is a fan of Donnarumma.

That’s bang on,as you say had we been more ruthless in our transfer dealings nobody would have caught us in the near future. Liverpool and Arsenal are level with us at least at the moment.
United/Chelsea have outspent us in the last 15 years with a lot less success, we have just bought very well, recently not so much I grant you. Liverpool and Arsenal are spending like a drunken Sailor as they want to stay ahead of us as we surely can’t be as bad again this season

We can expect City interest in Donnarumma to be all over top media outlets soon. It will be Ederson leaving if a deal can be struck. United still interested but imagine player prefers City and wants PL move. Won’t play for PSG again. Left out of Super Cup team tomorrow vs Spurs. Relationship soured.

Surprising move but the links are real. Can’t imagine Trafford is happy about this. But this ruthlessness is what’s been missing the last few years. I guess city view the opportunity to sign a 26 year old with his track record, for such a low fee, as too good to pass up.

Fantastic keeper, but not sure this makes sense with Trafford having just signed. If Donnarumma was late 20s or early 30s I'd get it, but there's not really room for both of them long term.
