None because he’s one of the top 3 keepers in the world.what are the chances that Pep Lijnders is a deep cover Liverpool agent and has somehow conviced Pep ?

Trafford aint great with his feet either
I just don’t see what a lot of you see with this lad:
Serie A (215 games):
15/16: 3 errors (1 goal)
16/17: 6 errors (3 goals, 1 penalty)
17/18: 8 errors (4 goals)
18/19: 3 errors (2 goals)
19/20: 7 errors (3 goals)
20/21: 2 errors (1 goal)
Ligue 1 (104 games):
21/22: 2 errors
22/23: 5 errors (3 goals, 1 penalty)
23/24: 5 errors (1 goal, 1 penalty)
Well yes ffs. That is the point! Winning the 2nd/ loose ball, winning headers, interceptions, nailing the opp all hip height 50/50s etc etc. Then maybe City be at the top again. Same weak shit as last season we aint winning nothingTeams absolutely will press us with Donnarumma in goal and he is not capable of pinging a pass the length of the pitch to put it on a platter for Haaland.
If we plan on going more direct but offloading Ederson then we are going to have to put an incredible amount of work into winning second balls.
At least it gives us more to complain about. The more I think of this potential transfer the more it doesn’t make sense. Enrique said yesterday that he wants a keeper more suited to his style of play. Donnarumma would be a disaster for us imo.

I also wonder if there’s stats for how many pens he’s saved, how many shots he’s saved that other keepers wouldn’t? Just showing “errors” in isolation doesn’t say a lotI'm not taking the piss here - it's a genuine interest/question. Is there something similar for Ederson?
From the times I’ve watched him play, he looks good enough with his feet - only Ederson is at his level with his feet but I think he’s checked out almost …..doesn’t look the same keeper recently.I’m exactly the same. People are just watching the saving highlight reels and thinking he would be brilliant.
We would really miss the distribution to start attacks and crucially we would hugely miss the ability of the goalkeeper to play as a sweeper behind a high line and clear up. Ederson had saved so many goals doing that. Whilst not flash it is extremely vital to how pep wants to play.
The fact enrique wants rid is a major major red flag.
Just this quote from an article I read sums it all up “
Donnarumma has certainly improved with the ball at his feet compared to his early days at Milan and for Italy, but it remains an undoubted weakness in his game.
An excellent shot-stopper, he is nonetheless not the goalkeeper you want to act as an additional sweeper.”
A big name player on huge wages. Dare I say it. Reminds me of Manchester United type signing?
Not sure Donnarumma is anywhere near Oblak, Garcia, Alison, Cortois or Chevelier.
He never wins the ball from crosses, he is panicky and unsure with his feet and the distribution he does get away is all over the place. Decent enough shot stopper, but Paris are replacing him with a better keeper.

Maybe so but many many levels below EdersonHe's several levels above Donnarumma.

Fuck it, get him in haIsn't everyone? The only one who was close was Neuer and he's about 63.

That's the offset isn't it. We probably get the best shot stopper in the world but at the same time we get a keeper bang average with his feet.I also wonder if there’s stats for how many pens he’s saved, how many shots he’s saved that other keepers wouldn’t? Fuk his feet he is a GK. Its his arms, hands,;head, body etc etc that matter most for most important position on pitchMust admit it does look a bit odd that we were desperate to ditch Hart at the beginning of Peps tenure because he was poor in possession.
Now apparently towards the end we are rumoured to be replacing Ederson with Donnarumma.
Great keeper though he is, from what I've seen he is no better than Hart with his feet.
