I'm seeing a lot of "is Donnarumma good with his feet though".

Has everybody totally forgotten last season? We've been found out over the last 2 seasons. Peps famous playing out from the back has been sussed.

I can't wrap my head around how so many of you are willing to throw the baby out with the bath water because of one underwhelming season.

Eight years of hard work doesn't get written off because things didn't go well over one campaign.

And no we've not been "found out." People have been claiming that every time we've hit any rough patch of form throughout Pep's tenure.

The reality is we had a bunch of old and underperforming players and our squad planning wasn't good enough to sustain the level of success we were enjoying.

If playing out from the back had been "sussed" we wouldn't be witnessing every other top club in Europe insisting on playing out from the back.

The more I think of this potential transfer the more it doesn’t make sense. Enrique said yesterday that he wants a keeper more suited to his style of play. Donnarumma would be a disaster for us imo.

Trafford will also be a disaster for us,if we are judging goalkeepers on our style of play.

Madness people are questioning this transfer top 3 goal keepers in the world but some would rather pass because Trafford might get his feelings hurt? (Sure Trafford knew what was happening when he signed) And the fact he is a bit crap with his feet makes it more exciting imo as there’s clearly a new plan taking place on how we’re about to play from the back. Having said that It’s not like PSG are 2010 stoke city reincarnated so I’m sure he’ll be just fine. Also has that Aura about him.

It’s incredible how good Trafford has become on here over the past 24 hours. He’s been playing in the Championship for Burnley, proven absolutely nothing at the top-level but is the only keeper who can replace Ederson.

If we are replacing 3 keepers with keepers and we still don't know who the number 1 is 3 days before the start of the season that worries me. Eddy number 1 with a backing he knows how to play with while trafford beds in and takes the no 1 next season. That was surely the plan why change it? Is donnaruma really worth the disruption money and time it will take for him to gel with the defence? It could cost us a title shot if we start off poorly.

Surprised so many are fixated on his limitations with the ball at his feet. Ederson is a complete freak in this regard. No one else comes close.

As a shot stopper, I’m struggling to think of any better than Donnarumma. Maybe only Courtois and Oblak run him close. He’d be a great signing.

If he is definitly signing clubs will want Ederson & Ortega for peanuts .
Will Trafford want to stay knowing all of a sudden he will deffo be a no2 .
We should of been getting a rightback & gone with Ederson & Trafford .

Why does that apply to us and not PSG who have also signed a new goalkeeper already?

The Trafford signing was always to compete for number 1 and not be number 1 and the fact he's HG replacing a non-HG was also very important for our squad.
